"Stayed here while attend a business conference in Kilkenny. But OMG it's amazing. We stayed in the converted coach house at the side of the main house... From the moment I arrived, I got a warm welcome from Rebecca. Then git a tour of the property and explanation of where everything was and how it worked. The apartment is huge sitting room decorated beautifully, with a log burner fireplace. I can imagine this being a truly romantic space. In the room are books and board games for the kids...loads of blankets and trows to wrap up and settle down to a good box. The orientation of the room means that. The sunset comes directly in the window treating you to a colour show that in my opinion, would be best enjoyed with some one special and a nice glass if wine. The kitchen again is huge. With everything you could need to cook yourself, a large dining room table and a double door that's leads out to the courtyard which is beautifully planted with an array of potted plants. A a hidden gem of a water feature. Back to the kitchen. Another wood burner with turf and wood to make this a beautifully warm and cozy space that it was meant to be. The only critique I have is I could not find a teapot, I am sure it was there but I could not find it. So it's not even a critique. Washing machine a facilities are all there if you wanted to stay for longer periods this would be so handy. Downstairs be bathroom. Very handy... The hall way and entrance is full of pictures, that aren't just pictures I. A frame there of people that are part of the story and history of this amazing house. The upstairs again the landing area is full of art and beautifully places items... If your a fan of vintage or the clever use of well made luggage then your in for a treat.. The master bedroom is again amazing. Huge with a cleverly design bookshelf that's full of books and little ornaments that reflects the history and personality of the owners... bed was so comfortable and pillows amazing.... On suite bathroom, fantastic with a great shower instant hit water and beautifully decorated Giant bath towels, lovely body wash, shampoo and conditioner... The second bedroom again with twin single beds.. and a bathroom and shower right next to it. I never posted such a long review. But when you find somewhere like this and people like Rebecca and Bobby. Huge, fantastic and charming. Thus is the true Ireland. The land of a 1000 welcomes, and people who are passionate about their home and what they have created. I traveled here for work with my wife and two daughters.. it's been a memorable trip and I will surely be back... I love photography and my eye was constantly drawn to the little details. And the bigger ones too. Oh and before I forget the grounds are imaculate. The horses out the front in the paddock.. it's amazing start to finish. Hats off to Rebecca and Bobby...bravo. In life I am quick to complain. But quicker to say well done bravo...you guys smashed it And one last thing found this amazing gem location called St Mullins 30 mins from there if your in to history it's a must."
"Hospitality at its finest. I can’t say enough good things about this house, the food, the hosts and the setting. It’s a real treat to stay where every comfort has been thought of and nothing is too much trouble. Amazing."
"We stayed here for our first wedding anniversary and we can't wait to go back. The house is beautiful, really welcoming and cosy for such a big old house. The food is top quality and the hosts are so friendly and knowledgeable. This is a real gem of a place"
"Bobbie and her daughter Rebecca are the most wonderful hosts. The house and property are magical and my family and I only wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfasts are an embarrassment of deliciousness. If you stay there, be sure to have at least one night's dinner with them, because the dinner was fantastic, both in terms of the food and the experience. Not to be missed!"
