"Carraig Hotel is right in the middle of quiet town of Carrick-on-Suir. It is a nice place to stay, it is simple enough and also very affordable. Yes, it’s not luxurious, but do you really need any of that if you are staying for few nights only? What is really a hidden gem here is their restaurant! Yes, I have stayed here multiple times even though I had choice of other fancier places, but one thing that brought me back is their food! Massive portions, fresh ingredients, perfect amount of spice. If you are passing by, I would definitely suggest dining in that place, even though it gets busy towards the evening, locals seem to love the place - and would you blame them? Staff is always super friendly and helpful, this is both restaurant and the hotel. Only reason for 4 stars is fairly unreliable Wi-Fi. If you are planning to work from hotel, you might struggle. Other than that, definitely worth visiting!"
