Reviews
"Booked in 2 for nights as Damien Dempsey was playing there. Lovely friendly lady (Susan) checked us in. Great location for a gig. Plenty of staff behind the bar to cater for the crowd. Nice clean room, although it was a little on the cool side. We were booked in for dinner in the hotels char bistro restaurant. Great food, good service. Also had breakfast both mornings that had a good selection to choose from on the menu. We really enjoyed our stay."
"Staff were friendly, service was slow. Food was lovely. The room was clean, spacious and warm. Some tiling repairs needed in the ensuite. The trip between the spa and the pool is very public, and could be better arranged. The relaxation room had no water or juice. The spa treatment was excellent. I'd stay again."
"We stayed in the Bridge House for a Saturday night break. We went for the B and B plus 4 course evening meal package, which was excellent value. Staff on reception were patient, kind and very efficient. The dining room has a great atmosphere and the staff were so attentive and hospitable. While the food was excellent, the service was impeccable. We would highly recommend this hotel. A great experience. We spent some time in both of the bars and again the staff and atmosphere was excellent, the overall experience is that you are welcomed and valued all the time you are in this hotel. I have recommended this to a lot of people since our visit there. 5 star."
"We had our wedding here and I can't speak highly enough of the hotel or the team of staff who work there. They were absolutely brilliant in all our preparations, so helpful and so supportive. The day itself was absolutely incredible, food was delicious, night went brilliantly and everyone had a great time. Would absolutely recommend this hotel for a stay or for your big day! Thanks so much to everyone there!"
"I've been to this hotel numerous times over the last 10-15 years. However, my latest experience I had to re-adjust my previous reviews. The Good: The rooms were clean, up to date, warm. The Dining staff for both dinner and breakfast were lovely, attentive and always on hand. The breakfast was cooked to order on Saturday morning, but due to numbers, it was buffet on Sunday. The Bad: The Leisure facilities need an upgrade, at the very least a deep-clean. The pool, hot tub, steam room and Sauna have not been updated and are stained. They are in need of a deep clean/upgrade. The bar staff were awful, they grunted when I asked for whiskey with no ice, and proceeded to give me whiskey, with ice. It was a chore to them to have to remove the ice.Slow to pour pints, young and inexperienced. Be prepared to wait at the bar, even when it's not busy. Small selection of drinks available."
