"My wife delivered our first baby in CUMH last week. Big shout out to the mid wife team who took care of my wife and baby over the entire duration of our stay for 3 days. They showed so much love, care and affection. It’s not an easy job that they do but they do so with a smile and great enthusiasm. Each and every one of them. Also they are transparent and empathetic in their communication of facts to the patients. While we don’t recall all the names of the midwives who supported us, calling out the ones we clearly remember- Niamh (ante natal section, 4th floor), Jocelyn (labour section, ground floor), Ericka (birthing suite, ground floor), Marissa (post natal care, 2nd floor), Meena (2nd floor), Susan (breast feeding consultant), Nora (post natal section, 2nd floor). Separate call out for Jocelyn who monitored my wife and the baby’s heartbeat in the uterus all night prior to the birth and ensured my wife delivered normally and not through C-section. She didn’t move an inch the entire night and stayed glued to the monitor. Was quick to consult the doctors whenever she sensed some concern. So thankful!"
"Delivered our baby girl here. Every staff member was amazing!!! Kind, helpful, providing loads of explanations and info, gentle and trustworthy. Words cannot describe how pleased me and my husband have been! Food is amazing too, providing as well variety. Overall all places are super clean too! Thank you!"
"Absolutley fabulous team there. Had procedure with Dr Stephen Power in Radiology who was just fantastic, explaining everything throughout. I felt in such safe hands. Started in Cumh first before procedure. Can't speak highly enough of the whole team I met both on the ward and in Radiology. I was scared but they were all so lovely to me and looked after me so well. Special shout out to all the girls in Radiology(Mary,Sheila,Cathy, Amanda, Gemma to name afew) with their positive banter to calm me down, it made it so much easier and ye are a lovely team there. Also a shout out to the girls on ward 2 in Cumh(Rinsie george, Aliana, Aoife, Mary and Suzzane on nights(sorry I made you so late leaving at the end of your night shift!!!) ye looked after me so well before and after the procedure. The care was just outstanding in both departments despite it being so busy. Ye are a credit to Cuh/Cumh. All the best Ann Marie"
"We just had our beautiful baby boy and we got the best service imaginable from every nurse and doctor we came in contact with. The professionalism and the kindness we were shown was second to none even do you could tell that everyone was swamped with work. We had the best midwife ever and her name was rosemary. We couldn’t have imagined getting a better midwife and our doctor David and trainees eoghan and Taylor were just brilliant. I can safely tell people your in great hands and couldn’t be more thankful to all the the staff in cumh from start to finish"
"Very good hospital. Best services. The building is spacious. Well behaved people. The only issue long waiting time and I dont blame it to the hospital rather than it's part of the Irish creepy healthcare system. But overall lovely maternity hospital in the whole region as well as in Ireland."
