"This little museum was a very pleasant surprise for this American tourist on a rainy day. I learned more about the Irish independence movement than I’d ever known, plus the history of the Port of Cork, which I’d never suspected. And, it’s free!"

"Brilliant museum! It's really cork centric and give you a brilliant history of the city, for novices and experts! We've been here normally and for culture night. The passion seeps through here, the curator (forgot his name) gave a great talk and rundown of the museum's collection and the work that goes in to it! A brilliant institution that deserves support"

"I voted 5 stars because the first of all is public for evryone, no fee of charge, very well maintained, clean public toilet. The museum have lots of history information and good illustration images. The museum was buit inside a tidy and clean public park. You can spend a whole day in here with your kids and learning something from historicalp, there also have modern structure corners. There was a kid playround and a st Bridget's bridge just at the corner. This place is must a visit place in Cork."

"What an amazing facility to have on our doorstep. It is free and it is open Tuesday to Friday. There are plenty of sanitation stations dotted around the whole museum. It has two floors; ground floor has an array of different exhibits from when Cork was established to present. It was interesting to see and read about Jewtown and to see all the different artifacts. On the first floor, there is an exhibit about the War of Independence and of Traveller culture. Would recommend for all the family to visit and enjoy seeing Corks past"

"Lots of local history mainly on local industry . Upstairs there’s two exhibitions that change every couple of months . The museum is free to enter but do leave a donation if you can"
