"My first experience with TicketMaster for the Riverdance show at the Marquee in Cork, my first time there as well, and LAST!!! I would never recommend this venue for seated performances, not in its present state. We had paid-for “Best Seats” from TicketMaster for the so-not-worth-it price of €59.95! (The seating guide was all wrong as Block A also has many seats either sides of the stage offering poor view of the stage yet charged the same price for the centre seats) The public should know that our seats weren’t even physically there! Just a vast empty patch of dry ground! We saw that in a few places. We had to go around find someone to inquire what happened to our invisible seats. Apparently, rain-water had leaked the previous day through the visibly holed tent and the usher then just went away. We looked for other ushers, all of them young schoolboys with no skills in managing such situations to offer alternatives that matched the price we paid for. We were randomly seated way back and to the side of the stage. The chairs were of metal and very very uncomfortable, there were water puddles everywhere. Because of the stage being much higher up, and the 20 or more long rows of seats in the “Best seating” section being single-level seating. much lower than the stage, the entire view was ruined and made worse with people’s heads in your field of vision. I was craning and constantly shifting my head left and right for the major part and all I could see were interrupted views of the top-half of the dancers. I’ve never seen Irish dancing shows before but I do know that the best part is in the legs and feet movement and was genuinely sad to miss AlLL of that. Since the venue and ushering was this bad, I could only guess the state of customer service, and given the tickets were managed via a 3rd party site, I wasn’t even able to engage in offering my feedback and requesting compensation for absent seats and poor seating despite paying €60. What I fail to understand is why a successful show like the Riverdance would select such a poor choice of venue where their performance cannot be fully appreciated."
"The Marquee was super. We saw Chic in concert. Brilliant concert and venue in the heart of Cork City. Really big names perform here. Elton John was appearing next after "Chic". Fantastic"
"Great festival tent stage style venue that's huge. Saw Deadmau5 June 17, 2022."
"Great concert, great location, easy to get to, parking and places to eat and drink. A great concert venue. Will be going back"
"The marquee is a pointless venue for a seated show as the majority of the seating is at the same level. So if the person in front of you is anything other than a hobbit, you are going to spend the entire show staring at the back of their head.."
