"Very charming B and B in a good location for the salmon fishing in river Blackwater - and the hostess Hilda is fantastic. @Hilda: Thank you so much for everything you did for me and my friend. From the very nice full breakfast, to the lunch box delivered at the riverside, to the afternoon drinks in your garden, fir drivning us forth and back to the dinner restaurant to the dinner you cooked for us to the airport transfer, I could just continue. "There are not enough words to describe Hilda's hospitality. Not only does she bake the best brown bread and scones I have ever tasted, but her kindness is exceptional. This is a fabulous place to stay from the welcome, really comfy bed, terrific breakfast - wow you will need an appetite - and the packed lunches for the anglers of which I am one. But Hilda's attention to detail is amazing and she will go out of her way to help you in any way she can and make your stay in Brodan so memorable. I cannot wait to stay there again and cannot recommend Brodan - and Hilda - highly enough. Thank you for everything."

"The term 'Home from home' doesn't do this place justice. From the moment you're welcomed in by Hilda, nothing is too much trouble. Obviously popular amongst Anglers (The reason for my visit) and not surprising given the understanding Hilda has of what the angler needs. An amazing Irish breakfast accompanied by extra toast, Croisssant, Yoghurt and bottomless Tea and coffee, sets you up for the day. Option of a packed lunch, hot drinks on arrival, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms and beds are very comfortable, spotlessly clean and private. The little things like the electric blanket on for an angler who's been stood waist deep in the Blackwater all day, make this the perfect accommodation. Can't wait to go back."

"Our stay in Brodan B&B with Hilda and her family was truly unique and way beyond our expections. The minute we arrived we were greeted with freshly baked scones and freshly brewed coffee and tea. Our room was spotless, warm and comfortable, as was the whole premises. No request is too big for Hilda, she has a vast knowledge of the history of Waterford and local attractions. Her tales of events past and present along with her sense of humour and warm nature were the icing on the cake of our stay. We can't recommend Brodan highly enough, Hilda and her family, the high standards, the grounds and our delicious full Irish organic breakfast are what make Brodan very very special. We will definitely be back!"
