"My mom and I stayed at Birdhill House and Gardens for 2 nights in July and we couldn’t recommend this place enough! Yvonne and Robert were very warm, welcoming, and gracious hosts. Their home was beautifully decorated with antique pieces, which made the historical connection to the manor house feel that much more palpable. The surrounding gardens were exquisite, and it was a very quiet, relaxing, and peaceful place to sit out on the patio in the afternoons. Clonmel itself is not a very big town, but there are multiple tourist attractions/towns within 30-60 minutes away, so Birdhill House and Gardens serves as a great central point. To be honest, we found the accommodation first and fell in love at first sight, so we actually worked our trip itinerary around staying here - and it definitely didn’t disappoint! We also chose to take advantage of the 4-course dinner and breakfast option they offered, both prepared and served by Yvonne and Robert themselves. The dinner experience began with drinks in the library, and moved to the dining room where each course was paired with a drink to enhance the meal - the food was fantastic and we were made to feel very special! When Yvonne found out we hadn’t experienced a traditional Irish breakfast, she and Robert were up early the next morning to prepare one for us so we didn’t leave Ireland without that experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Birdhill House and Gardens! Yvonne and Robert were the most hospitable hosts we encountered during our 2 week trip in Ireland, and they were enthusiastic about sharing the history of the manor house with us when we asked. We also had a good laugh at Robert’s quick wit jokes! Don’t hesitate to book this place - you won’t regret it!"

The view on the river is very calming and peaceful. We were able to have dinner there and food was delicious, we will be back!"
