"Wow where do you start , We did a staycation this year with the family and west cork was the destination and we consider our selves so lucky to have found this lovely hideaway in Ahakista Damian & Niamh run the property , with Damian being in the building game he really has done an exceptional job on this purpose built property, With a fine eye for detail it really was a lovely experience to live in this spacious modern 21st century home Well able to cater for a large family . The property was spotless on arrival with white Linen and towels to match. The house is set on a few acres of well matured woodland with a beautiful stoned pathway through it shadowed by tall Leafy trees. The children had great fun here and with an elevated view from the patio it was easy to keep a watchful eye . The out side has all you would wish for bbq, pizza oven , spacious seated patio with the added bonus of the sound of a fresh flowing stream that runs though the woodland . There is also a Jacuzzi that really adds to the relaxation of long day out and about . There is a local bar which serves beautiful food if you weren’t in the form for cooking . The fish comes straight from the fisher men who fish off the pier right in front of it so definitely fresh fish . Damian gave us a lovely Surprise one morning and brought us out on his boat all around the bay . We were lucky enough to see some dolphins & seals and the kids loved the fishing . The mackerel were lovely on the bbq that evening. There is loads to do and see in the area for young and old alike . Scenic drives, kids activity centres and hill walking . Ireland’s tallest mountain is only 90min drive . To Damian & Niamh thanks you so much for a brilliant staycation we will definitely be back . The McConn family"

"What a place! A beautiful spacious 5 bed house, with indoor sauna and outdoor hottub. All mod con. It's location is the show stopper though. Set in a private woodland site, this is a kids wonderland. My brother and family rented the house for a week, we visited for 2 nights. And so so glad we did. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
