Ballinskellig Watersports ensured busy fun mornings for children..highly recommend.Would recommend area and house perfect chill out holiday .Everything you require and more in house and outside private seating area in back with lovely views.Beach fab with lovely coffee shop on beach.Great as a base to tour Valentia ..Waterville..Would love to return"

"Great experience, lovely house and location. 5 minutes walk from the beach and 15 minutes drive from the nearest town. House was equipped with all amenities needed for a long stay. Handover of the keys was simple and seamless. On our second day we got a knock on the door from Trident staff who informed us of the flat rate electricity charge and security deposit, which is fine, we had received emails about this before hand. However, we were also informed of a charge for towels - which isn't much of a problem since we had included them when booking but this is where the problem lies. When booking and including the towels, the appeared on the invoice and we presumed they were paid for already. No problem if they weren't, a heads up that its paid for when you arrive instead of when you pay for the house would have been appreciated since they were included on the invoice with the house when we paid. None of the lights in one of the upstairs bedrooms were working and only one in one of the downstairs bedrooms. The hoover that was in the house when we arrived wasn't working either, which would have been incredibly handy since we spent so much time on the beach, used the good old dustpan and brush instead. Towards the end of the holiday, we left the door open since we had wetsuits and other belongings drying outside and were listening to some music inside when the same lady who called at the beginning, let herself into the house without so mucwhile. a knock. As the son of landlords, both short holiday lettings and long term residential, this isn't acceptable. While we pay to stay at a holiday location, we expect the degree of privacy we get to remain at a constant throughout the entire holiday. This happened again just before we had left - while this one is a little more understandable as it was almost check out time, its exactly that, *almost* check out time and even still, a knock is appreciated at this time too. Overall, it was a pleasant holiday in a quiet location and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to escape the busy city life for a while. Adequate parking outside each house for two decent sized cars and plenty to do in the area - Valentia Island is a must and for €10 return for a car on the ferry, it's perfect. Bring some change though, a lot of places are €2\3 in. Checking all lights are working in all bedrooms would be recommended and knocking before entering would have made the stay a lot more comfortable towards the end. Would definitely be a 5* review if it hadn't been for this"
