"Just back from a wonderful night in Hanoras Cottage, from the warm welcome we received when we arrived, the extra large bed in our room with jacuzzi bath, the food was amazing, excellent service from the staff and a great chat with the chef afterwards. I would thoroughly recommend a visit here and I can't wait to return."
"very nice atmosphere, family holiday for adults. Quiet peaceful place, beautiful scenery, delicious cuisine, bread made with love, and it can be eaten instead of cake, everything is made especially for visitors, cakes. fresh natural, meat and other dishes like grandmother had in childhood. I am in a wonderful mood. after visiting this cottage."
"We stayed here on night in September 2022. The place is spectacular, lovely family room with fireplace, outside deck and dock overlooking a beautiful stream, all in a remote town and in nature's finest setting. The room and beds were very nice and comfortable. They actually have a chef here our package included a dinner and it was spectacular very much like fine dining. Would definitely recommend and stay again. It was a little tricky to find but well worth it!"
"Located in the mountains, enriched by the sounds of the stream and the scents of freshness that cannot be immortalized by photography. If you are coming for dinner, it is recommended to go out on the terrace with a glass of good wine, sit down and I promise you will feel blessed. Not to mention the food... I find the combination of sweet and salty flavors excellent. Irish-style steak is out of this world. You can pay by cash or card."
"Loved our stay here. The breakfast spread was the best I've seen. So many fresh fruits and berries that I didn't recognize them all, various poached fruits, yogurt, porridge, homemade jams, a wide variety of homemade breads, fresh squeezed orange juice, and that was just what was available when you first walk in. There's the "hot" food that isn't made until you order (teas, eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding). I know I'm forgetting some of the options, simply due to the wide variety available. Much of the food is grown locally. The scenery is gorgeous, as this establishment is set back into the hills surrounded by wild rhododendrons next to a river with various seating areas sprinkled along it. The proprietor is a lovely lady who built the bed and breakfast on land that's been in her family for generations, and she goes out of her way to make sure all guests are happy. Dinner is a bit spendy (€50), but was delicious, and take away ("to go" or "doggy" bags, where I'm from, but terms which cause confusion here) apparently aren't much of a thing in Ireland, but the kitchen staff bent over backwards to find a way to package up the leftover dinner for us to take with us the next day. Note: if you get asthma easily, as I do, the bedrooms do have carpet. I opened the windows and that helped a great deal. The price of the stay was lower than some other places we stayed at, and this place had better accommodations. We'd have stayed here longer if we could. Overall, a lovely place to stay!"
