"This is a little gem! Conveniently located just a short distance from Dublin yet you are far enough away to have a country experience. Very friendly, efficient staff who are always willing and ready to assist. Food is excellent, Guinness us even better (and competitively priced)"
"Another wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. The staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is so relaxed. This was my second time here and it was as good as the first, maybe even better. The breakfast remains the best breakfast in any hotel I've been to. The bar food is really lovely as well. The playground outside is small but a nice way to spend 15 minutes. The swimming pool is absolutely fabulous and so warm, ideal when you have a toddler. The room was really spacious and had a super warm bathroom. Beds are so comfortable and the room is very quiet. WiFi was a bit hit and miss in the bedroom so you probably wouldn't want to be relying on it but it suited us for our purposes."
"Great value for the price. Stayed in the deluxe room and it was clean and comfy. Not the most comfy bed but not the worst. Room was lovely and warm, heating stayed on all night and between the radiators and the air con we were able to set the perfect temp. Most hotels turn off the heating after midnight so it was a welcome change to have heating right through the night. TV is not opposite the bed so for those who like to laze and watch TV from the bed, perhaps try another room type. But we were able to unplug the TV from where it was and plug it in opposite the bed and prop it on a chair so we were delighted. Overall, great value for money and would happily stay again!"
"The Gym in the Ashdown is a fully functioning gym, I like the other facilities, Sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and pool. Aqua classes are mostly mornings, no classes per say which is a downer for me, the gym is small but never full so it works, not the tidiest of places and the toilets and bathrooms could use a bit more cleaning. Astro area is small so you have to be mindful of that. Staff are friendly Nicki is a gem. Black Friday membership sales are always worth it and the Christmas party was amazing, lots of food and drinks. Parking area, wheel chair Accessible. Changing rooms are shared with kids FYI."
"Just back from a lovely overnight stay in ashdown park. The family room was great with bunks, two single and a double bed. The staff were all so nice, especially in the ivy bar on Saturday evening despite being really busy. The kids were delighted with the stockings filled with treats and Christmas movies in the room"
