"Nice, Clean, New and modern furniture, rich breakfast."
"Owner rude and racist. I stayed at the Beechwood house last evening in Blarney. The host was incredibly rude from the moment that we arrived. He asked who my fiance was with a nasty tone. We asked how his day was going and he said not good, I just finished cleaning. We had a full house yesterday. We arrived at 16:30 pm and check in was between 15:00 and 20:00. So we were not early. He did not even try to conversate with us. He also immediately informed us that he no longer offers breakfast at 8:00 because no one "bloody comes down." Then this morning, he was rude again. We came down for breakfast at 9:00, sat an an empty table and poured ourselves coffee from the coffee bar. We also grabbed a cup of fruit and were enjoying the start to the day. The host then walked in with a disgusted look on his face and sighed. He did not greet us with a good morning. Instead, he told us we had to move because we were sitting too close to another table. Mind you, there were four open tables and we picked a two seater in case a larger table came in the room. We were trying to be considerate. At that, I said to my fiance that I did not want to stay and he agreed. So, we went to gather our bags and were leaving. The host then just said did you leave the key? He completely ruined our day and night. We had such a lovely experience at the Abbeyville in and to then drive to stay at this place, it was a vacation ruiner. My fiance and I are an interracial couple. It was very evident that Norman, the host, is racist and made us feel incredibly unwelcome in his home. Considering this establishment is deemed to be four stars, I think you should know what kind of man is running this establishment. He ruined our Cork and Blarney experience. If he is unwilling to treat all guests equally (because he was treating the other guests very differently), then he should not open his home."
"Great place to stay. Close to the Blarney Castle. Friendly Host with a great personality. Highly recommended for your stay."
"We stayed in October and everything was grand! Breakfast was great and the owner provided plenty of local spot we could visit. If I am ever in Ireland again I will book a room!"
