"I went here to eat in the restaurant with my partner. Starting with the positives it was a very nice and tidy place with comfortable chairs. The server was kind. Now for the negatives;; My partner ordered the soup of the day and he was told it was Leek and Potato, but it actually wasn't. When it was served to him it was an orange colour with carrots and its consistency was watery and lumpy. When I asked if I could try some, I was taken aback by the lack of flavour that I had just experienced from the soup. I am convinced that the chef must have thrown carrots and water together and hoped for the best. I ordered the Fresh Hake with a side of chips and salad. Honestly, for 14 euros I was expecting the main dish to be much bigger than the side, hence why it'd be called a "side dish". The Hake was disappointingly small and I had a massive pile of chips that looked as though they had been bought from the store and bleached. The Hake was edible although it still had the skin on the bottom of it and it could've been cooked way better. I was also served a salad with the chips which, again, was much bigger than the Hake. All of the food was low quality. They also don't sell a variety of coffee; only Americanos. I wouldn't come here again."
"Stopped in today for some food before a nice walk in the woods. We arrived just before midday so were unable to have anything other than breakfast which didn't bother me at all . We waited around 6 or seven minutes for the fry up to arrive, the lady informed us that the toast was on its way. I continued to wait as I like to have toast with a full Irish. It must of been another 6-7 minutes before I had to say something as I was getting very impatient and hungry. So I said " excuse me , could we please get our toast" She disappeared for a minute and came back with it, no apology for waiting so long, my mediocre breakfast was half cold and funnily enough so was the toast. Before I finished buttering the damm things my lovely girlfriend had spit hers out and informed me the bread was mouldy... We didn't pay, we just got up and we won't be going back any time soon!"
"Went there for food today. I hadnt seen any reviews. For me and my family the food was quite good, the staff were very pleasant. The one fault I had was that the bathroom could do with upgrading and there was a bad odour."
"We stopped for lunch. Waiting ages for the food to come. When it did my chips were over cooked on the outside and raw inside. Turkey was like leather. I had salad with my chips and it was laughable and all swimming in gravy. Disgusting food and the environment was very run down and dirty. The only redeeming thing was the staff were nice but a bit overwhelmed. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone."
"Rooms very basic, jaded and not the cleanest. The large cobweb in the window beside my bed had been there for at least 6 months. The service was great and the breakfast was excellent. In the centre of town, so you won't have a sea view, but the rooms are off the street and quiet"
