"On a recent visit to Ireland we had the extreme pleasure to stay at Caragh River Lodge B & B for 2 nights. Caragh River Lodge is located in the Bridia Valley surrounded by the most picturesque view of the Kearney Mountains. Caragh River Lodge is a place of sanctuary and tranquility. The breakfasts were outstanding with great selections available; and we can’t forget mention “freshly baked scones each morning”! The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and lacked for nothing! The hospitality extended by Doreen and Tom was phenomenal. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable which helped my family and I make the most out of our stay in County Kerry. I would highly recommend staying at Caragh River Lodge for as long as possible as it would be hard to find any B & B to compare! An easy 5 star plus rating! The Boyd family"

"What a wonderful place in a remote location with beautiful mountain views and Doreen is such a lovely host. Everything was just perfect - the warm welcome, good sized shower and nice thick towels (perfect after a mountain walk in Irish weather), comfy beds and the great breakfast. The kids still rave about the scones and I don't think they remember that there was no wifi. We wish we could have stayed longer."

"It is the perfect place for rest. The room has a great view of the mountain. The room has a huge and comfortable bed. The bathroom is also quite large with a shower. Breakfast is very loaded, you have to be very hungry to eat everything. The room where I served breakfast is very nicely decorated(Like the whole house:)) , Irish music is heard very subtly from the speakers.The host was very nice and friendly. Bikes available for rent. You can go cycling around or climbing as we did but be sure that you have the right equipment like boots and waterproof clothing would be necessary. Thank Anna for bringing me in this beautiful place!"

"My wife and I absolutely loved our 4 days at the Caragh River Lodge! Tom and Doreen are wonderful hosts and were so helpful with advice on our hiking trips and other excursions. The breakfasts were superb! Our room was immaculate and the views incredible. This B&B is a little remote, which is exactly what we wanted. It is still close enough to other towns and places to eat, such as Glencar and Killarney. The location is unbelievably beautiful. I don't think online pictures can do the Bridia Valley justice. We were blown away by the beauty of the place. We love to hike and there were walking and hiking opportunities right out the front door. Our second day I climbed Carrauntoohil, the highest mountain in Ireland. A trailhead for the peak is literally a short walk from the front door. The route advice that Tom gave me was invaluable. I could not recommend this B&B more highly and I really do hope to go back to it on future trips to Ireland."

"Doren and her husband were such wonderful hosts! The location is beautiful, it feels like it is out in the middle of nowhere but the mountain view cannot be beat! I wish I had stayed for a week, and if I find myself in Ireland again, I would love to stay again! The road is lovely for walking, and the couple make sure you are comfortable and we'll fed! The breakfast was the best I've had and the rooms were comfortable and lovely! This was an amazing experience and I cannot recommend this location enough! 100/10 stars!!!"
