Reviews
"Just spent a couple of nights at Currane lodge. We had a really good time. The location is fabulous, just in front of the lake. Facilities very comfortable, but the best part is the host, Ann. She really made us feel at home. Friendly and full of good tips. Many thanks Ann"
"A friend and I are walking the Kerry Way and were lucky enough to find Ann and Currane Lodge as accommodation for our stop in Waterville. Just a short walk out of town and we arrived at a home away from home. Ann was so kind and friendly, her homemade scones for breakfast were amazing. The shower was incredible and the rooms were warm and clean. We could not recommend it more! We did not want to leave!"
"Cozy and inviting. It's only a 15 minute drive from the village, and a couple minute walk to the lake. The host is delightful and very attentive. A great place to stay if you want to go fishing, hiking, or just want to experience a slice of the Irish country side."
"A lovely B&B, a quiet place in beautiful surroundings. Stunning views on the lake and the hills from the picknick place outside or the breakfast room (unfortunately not opened yet, hopefully it will be open soon). Our toddler had a lot of space to play outside as well as in our spacious room. Anne is a kind and helpful host. She had good suggestions about what to see and do on the peninsula. We got an excellent breakfast every day, very fresh and home made, just delicious. We had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this lodge!"
"Superb host and sensational evening meals available - we stayed at Currane Lodge for 2 nights in mid July 2021. Although it is a B&B, we were offered evening meals at a small extra cost which was an absolute winner. With all the complexity of dining out during covid, this was a great solution for us. We were in Kerry to do very long days out, and returned each evening famished and the amazing meals provided by our host were hearty and delicious. Even used beef from their own farm! The rooms are also really well equipped with kettle, mini fridge and microwave so even though the Lodge is slightly out of town, you have everything available to make meals easy. You could do your own dinner but really, Ann is a fantastic cook! Ann also leaves a very generous breakfast spread in the room so you can wake up at any time. We had one lovely evening meal al fresco enjoying the amazing views over the Loch - wonderfully memorable and really felt like a longer break than two days. Highly recommended."
