"Our Kerry trip wouldn’t have been perfect if we didn’t stay in Barrow Lodge. We received the most heartfelt welcome from Clodagh. She looked after us for the 2 days we were there and pointed us to the best places to have food and places to see. It’s a lovely family ran business and they make you feel at home there. I will definitely be back with my partner and I’ve already recommended barrow lodge to friends."

"We assumed that it would be nice based on the reviews but it was even better than we had hoped. The room that we stayed in was better than the Powers Court or the Westin (both of which I have no complaints about) and the pride taken in cooking each part of the common auld Irish breakfast was a very welcome surprise. A proper traditional Irish breakfast cooked with tlc. Very friendly atmosphere but you have your own entrance so as Tyler Durden said 'you decide your own level of involvement'. Lots of great things to do nearby too, whatever the weather. We just picked random things as we are sure that we will be back when we can. A lovely place well run by great people that combines the best parts of a hotel and BnB."

"INCREDIBLE! Stay here! You'll not find better, more finely appointed accommodations than Barrow Lodge. Stunning views; very high-quality beds, furniture. No detail has been overlooked. Not even a single one. Clodagh, the proprietor and hostess, is the driving force behind Barrow Lodge. I think the quality of the rooms and the detail of the appointments are the manifestation of a very caring and kind operator who will go out of her way to make everyone's stay a quality experience. Once you meet her, she'll leave a lasting impression with you. Promise! And there is a Newfie on the property that is a bigger than life canine companion to Clodagh-that provides a bit of irony-given that Clodagh is quite petite and the Newfoundland is quite large. The Newfie, too, greets guests with the same measure of care as its human companion. Clodagh speaks English, French, German and Gaelic. But no matter the language she speaks, her first language is kindness."
