"Not as pleasant as last time. We stayed here eight years ago and had a lovely stay. This time, not so lovely. We had plumbing issues that were never corrected and we were advised to work around them. Our room view overlooked a parking lot with a lot of noisy digging going on. The whole place needs a refresh. We were told the bathrooms are being upgraded and that will be a welcome change, I’m sure. We didn’t have opportunity to interact with the dogs and they were a highlight of our previous visit. All in all, a bit of a disappointing stay. Still a nice place but just not as nice as before, a bit dreary and weary this time."
"A college friend and I went on a bucket list trip to Ireland. The highlight of the trip was staying at Milltown House. Right when we parked we were greeted by Stephen and his two Irish Wolfhounds. Somehow he knew we were the two guys who'd come out from California. What an incredible host! We met his wonderful wife and several members of the staff. (Seems he employs the most Brazilians in Dingle.) I stayed in the Robert Mitchum room and my buddy had a huge room on the 1st floor with a private entrance to the front. Both rooms were fantastic. The view from my room was incomparable, and conveniently overlooked the grounds where the falconer flew his birds. I can see why Mitchum stayed there for a year. The bar was gorgeous. And Stephen/staff were just fantastic, personable hosts who made you feel at home. He gave us several restaurant/pub recommendations that didn't disappoint. Breakfast was top-notch as well. I can honestly say I haven't slept as soundly as I did at Milltown House. When I return to Ireland I'll be bringing my wife, and will stay in the Mitchum Room for as long as Stephen will have us. Oh, did I mention the stunning view?!?"
"Unbelievable ! I booked myself a room here for the last night of my stay in Ireland and I don't regret it. I wanted to relax, be well and in a nice comfortable place: it was the case. The bed is very large and comfortable, the room spacious and bright, the person is attentive and very responsive. The house is particularly charming. The breakfast is delicious and well served. A wonderful place to stay in Dingle. Only negative point (but which should not happen all the time) personally I had practically no hot water in my room... I wanted to relax with a bath and I had paid more to have this kind of offer, I was a little disappointed. I warned the staff, it improved but it remained very lukewarm. In short, not really hot water."
"It was like a step back in time with all the convenviences of today. The home is everything you would hope for when visiting Ireland and you can enjoy the Dingle area or just sit back and relax. Famous pubs are close or stay and enjoy the Milltown Snug. The best part may be Stephen dressing up for breakfast. A+ nice touch"
"Rooms a bit old and tired looking. My room was very damp. Breakfast looked like they make a big effort out of it, but unfortunately as breakfast only starts at 8.30 , could not enjoy it. Nice views though. Some booking sites class this as a hotel, which it is not. It is a guesthouse / B&B . Good WiFi!"
