"I would normally be very reluctant to write a bad review but I fell for the reviews here and I thought I was going to a high end hotel. The prices are high end but nothing else is... The hotel is really dated, it was probably amazing a good few years ago.... For today's standards, this hotel just doesn't meet the bar. The rooms are way too expensive for the level of service and cleanliness provided. The staff don't really know what's going on. For example the person in the Leisure centre thinks that the Spa closes at 6. The receptionist thinks that the Leisure centre is open until 10 and so on. It might seem small but when you pay nearly 400E for a room with a balcony these are very basic expectations and they need to be met. I can't say the staff is super friendly or professional, they're ok, probably on the low end for a 4 star. The breakfast was average, there wasn't much variety, there were some gluten free products which was a pleasant surprise, the restaurant itself seems to be working like clockwork, is my most positive observation. Will I go back? No. Would I recommend it to a friend? Absolutely not. Should you spend your hard earned cash on this hotel? Absolutely not."
"The Dingle Skellig looks like it might’ve been really nice 20-30 years ago, but isn’t worth what it costs now. Liked · The morning breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. Not much else. Disliked · We stayed at five hotels on our trip to Ireland and this is the only negative review I’m leaving of the five. Things we didn’t like about this property, in no particular order: The property seemed dated and a little dingy, enough so that my wife felt like she needed to check the room for bed bugs (which wasn’t the case at any of the four other hotels we stayed at on our trip). We stayed in a family room and the space was quite cramped (which also wasn’t the case at any of the four other hotels we stayed at on our trip). One of the kids beds was a cot, which wasn’t particularly comfortable. The walls were thin and we could hear our neighbors on both sides of us well into the night. The fire alarm went off at 4am for a few minutes, before stopping (there was no fire/emergency). The hotel is located pretty far from the town center. Probably fine for folks traveling without children, but not ideal for families. Overall, this hotel cost the same per night as several other hotels we stayed at during our trip and was of a much lower quality. Absolutely would not recommend at this price point."
"This is like a high-end hotel It is located right on the bay and it is absolutely breathtaking. I was fortunate enough to be in one of the newly remodeled suites and it was beautiful. I had the most amazing view of a Ireland mountainside with some houses on it and was in a position where the sun was able to rise right over the top of the hill right outside my window. I would absolutely recommend staying at this hotel if you are in Dingle. The hotel is located pretty much close to downtown it's about a maybe seven minute walk and it'll put you right in the middle of the city where you have access to just about everything gifts to eating even grocery store."
"Besutifil hotel good food and friendly staff. Entertainment each night no need to go out. Views spectacular. Had massage by Liam best i ever had. Cant wait to return Our room was lovely 2 big beds bottled water a great plus. Pillows very comfy."
"Fabulous location, great hotel with perfect facilities. Loved the pool and breakfasts. Food lovely and service excellent. We met the restaurant manager on day 2 of our weekend stay, and she was so friendly and attentive. I was offered bottled water for the 5 hour road trip home, told to collect at the reception, sadly the reception staff had no clue what I was talking about which was disappointing. Bedrooms are okay, furniture outdated, and no plugs by the bed to charge your phone. Rooms small for the money too, and it's certainly not cheap for a country hotel. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic. However, it is a very lovely hotel and tastefully decorated, clean and well kept. The views are to die for and it's a simple 10-minute walk to the town center. There is plenty of parking for the guests. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
