"Fantastic Christmas experience for the kids. Great train ride and brilliant entertainment. Highly recommended."
"Really lovely place to visit, very nostalgic, had our own carriage the kids loved it. There is a small gift shop and a cafe and toilets worth a visit pre book preferably. They have halloween event coming up and Christmas too."
"A great place to visit if you are interested in trains or have children. The railway is run by volunteers and there are a number of trains including steam trains, as well as a small shop, bar, museum and restaurant where they serve oatcakes at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend visiting Foxfield steam railway."
"Small, volunteer run heritage railway. Extremely friendly staff. Pleasant train ride through Staffordshire countryside. Even got the opportunity to go on the engine footplate. Not expensive and well worth a visit. Definitely recommended."
"Visited the line on August 1st as they were running trains comprised of the Victorian “Knotty” carriages. This is always very popular as the carriages are only used a few months per year. All trains were sold out and we were lucky to get tickets which are purchased in advance online. There are lots of locomotives at the railway so we’re arrived early so we could have a good look around and also get a bite to eat. I can recommend the cafe for good food at a reasonable price. The sausage baps are great! The train was of course steam hauled by a saddle tank engine. We really enjoyed the ride. The Guard was really friendly and made children welcome and had a bit of fun with them. All the staff were great and made sure you had a nice time. We would certainly visit again. Covid measures were in place and we felt safe."
