Reviews
"Nice and beautiful place for a huge walk. Train was not in service, but we had a pleasant day. They also have a nice coffee shop near the 'entrance' of the lake. Keep in mind, you have to pay for parking near of the coffee shop but it's quite cheap."
"Really great place to have a relaxing day off. The Rangers offering boat tours across the lake and water hire equipment offers fantastic customer service at reasonable prices. Coffee shop nearby is good, but can be busy and overcrowded at times, not coping with the amount of customers and could offer wider variety of choices. Good addition are the changing rooms for paddleboad enthusiasts. Overall great experience, highly recommended."
"Scenic lake walks with picnic area, toilet, cafe and parking in the hotel for £3 refunded with purchase. Dog friendly and small steam railway. Really a wonderful day out, relaxing with views."
"Rudyard lies in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands. It's a beautiful place for walkers with many opportunities, from a brief stroll along the shore to a walk all the way around the lake. Parking and toilet is available. Grab a cuppa or ice cream and enjoy a boat ride with your family."
"We didn't set out with the intention of arriving at Rudyard Lake but ended up here by a happy mistake. An hour or so later we'd been out on the lake via a rowboat for £10 and enjoyed ice-creams in the sunshine. Ended up being a fun little detour."
