"Nobody wants to have to use the emergency vet, but both the receptionist and the vet were so kind and helpful and made everything so much less stressful. The vet spent a lot of time and consideration diagnosing our little dog, and provided thorough explanation and options. The receptionist was so warm and caring and our dog loved having a little cuddle with her! Vets Now provide such an essential service, we are so grateful! Thank you :)"
"We were very relieved to find Vets Now when staying with family in Portsmouth over Christmas as our dog consumed half a box of chocolates on Boxing Day evening. Vets Now answered our phone call very promptly and within 20 minutes we were at the surgery where Vet Lucas assessed our dog, provided assurance that she hadn’t consumed a dangerous amount, and explained possible side effects and how to deal with them. The receptionists were very friendly and efficient too. We hadn’t come across a dedicated out-of-hours emergency vet before. It is a great idea, and well delivered by Vets Now Portsmouth."
"My dog passed away on a Saturday night and Vets Now were my emergency out of hours vet. When I phoned them Sunday morning the receptionist offered her condolences and gave me clear instructions on what to do. I took my dog to the surgery and they removed her from the boot of my car for me as I couldn't do it myself. They gave me some time alone in a separate room to consider cremation options but didn't pressure me. They were very kind and sincere. I was treated with the same care when I picked up her ashes. The surgery itself is large, clean and spacious and has a separate area for owners with cats to wait. It's in an easily accessible location although turning right into the car park is a tight turn."
"Vets now is one of those places you don't want to have to go to ... But unfortunately life isn't always like that. I've been here 5 times within the last 6 months with my little cat Alberto and the care he's received there has been second to none. He's always well looked after, updates are regular and always he seems to "enjoy" his time there. All the staff are friendly and despite being your "emergency vet" provide a personal touch to the service that makes it feel like visiting your actual vet. Only minor gripe is as they share the premises with a daytime vet you have to collect your pet early and can leave a wait for your regular vet on handover.... Nothing vets now can really do about it, but worth being prepared for."
"Our little dog patch and her only surviving puppy was left at vets now for a night stay after having a c section at our local vets who told us her temperature had dropped and her and pup might not make it . We paid in advance for this service and left her there at 6.30pm at 7pm we were called to say she was fine and they were busy so could we collect her if possible , we explained we could not, we then received another call and was told that patch could stay if we could not get her and the another call at 9pm by a demanding lady saying they are busy and patch would be safer at home and you need to get your dog a? So we collected our weak looking patch and puppy , we ask for discharge notes to state mum and pup were well enough to leave but were refused as they were to busy we also explained that due to a family death it wasn't practical to take patch that evening as we thought it was best for patch and puppy to stay for the night that had been agreed and paid . Let's hope that patch and pup make it through the night at home now This practice hasn't come across as animal loving at all more rude and demanding"
