"One of my favourite parks, lots to do and quite spacious. Can get cramped in summer when everyone and their dog wants a taz about, but it's calm. Do wish we had another small quarter as the bowl can be jarring when you're hungover lol"
"Awful place. Full of litter and currently has a building site in the middle so the footpath is partially closed. Somewhere you'd cycle through on the way to somewhere else. Well done Derby Council."
"Lovely green space used by all types of people ruined to build a pump station. Not sure why this couldn't have been built further south east where there's plenty of waste ground. Not to mention all the trees chopped down. People wonder why young people are "up to no good" and then they ruin what few green spaces are left for them to enjoy"
"Given to the people of Derby in 1867 by Michael Bass of Bass Brewery with a covenant that essentially prevents the land from being used for anything other than a public park. It's sometimes referred to as the Holmes and is essentially an island of sorts. Basically it's an open green space almost directly in the city centre, popular during the summer, there's sometimes events held. It also forms part of Derby's national cycle network. There's also a very popular skate park near the city centre/bus station side. Nice enough but with a little investment it could be excellent."
"Great place nice people at the OMG circus will go again"
