"Drop into the Cherry Tree quite regularly after a local walk because the welcome is always warm and the food is always tasty. Many ingredients are home grown or locally sourced which is important. The staff listen too: last time the fish finger sandwich (which is very delicious, apparently) was off the menu and caused dismay for my fellow diner. By this visit it was back on. Soups are always excellent with hearty and flavoursome vegetable combinations. Today’s (white onion and thyme) was simply superb. The fire was crackling away and the ambiance was very conducive to a pleasant birthday lunch. Will return very soon."
"Superb full English breakfast, which is still on the menu after 11AM, and the most sincere hospitality we ever experienced at any restaurant in the past. Dan and the team come across as experts in the food that they are serving, there's an intriguing story behind where everything is sourced from, even the coffee. The pub is so cosy and warming especially by the fireside."
"Four of us plus baby went up the other night for the quiz night. Great fun. We had the steak burgers, whitebait and vegetarian pie. All excellent. After the quiz which was in the marquee, we all piled back into the pub. Great friendly atmosphere and plenty of banter with the locals and staff. Great pub. We'll be back!"
"Very nice spacious place. As it was raining and I had no where to go, I parked my car in their car park for over an hour and waited for the rain to stop, many people came back and forth , not a single person questioned me to why I was there. 5* B&B , Welcoming people . Please go visit and have a drink, bite to eat, enjoy the atmosphere. Excellent."
"We just came across this place after walking the dogs, we hadn’t booked a table obviously but seeing it was my birthday lunch, they made a special effort to fit us in , including the two dogs. The food was absolutely excellent and our plates were full. I must say, great staff , good food and value for money , yes , 5 stars from me. Thanks , guys"
