"Very bad customer service..we ordered a bed with mattress from here in March 2022 and until today I m waiting for a refund!!!they send me a defective mattress when I complained they gave me an option to order replacement mattress. I waited for the replacement mattress to arrive but oh no they lost my mattress in the national distribution centre..finally I had to request a refund and sending so many emails and wasting so much time calling these people I m still waiting for a refund!!!"
"If there was an option to give 0 stars, I definitely would! We ordered our sofas in June 2021 with a promise to deliver in 12 weeks. This never happened. Instead we started to receive a call every couple of weeks from September that our sofa was ready for delivery, only to be cancelled at the last minute. We finally received our sofa 5 months late in February 2022. A few months later around August we noticed that feathers were poking out of the seats. We ordered seats with foam not feathers. This was also clearly written on our invoice. However, upon contacting Furniture Village, they argued that as it had been so long they couldn’t do anything and that the goods should’ve been inspected upon delivery. So, furniture village are okay to deliver 5 months late but we don’t have the right to complain a few months later when this issue arose? We probably would not have realised if the feathers hadn’t started poking out. Eventually after going back and forth they agreed to swap our seats to the correct ones. However, they then decided to lie to us and claim that all the seats have foam inside with feathers around it. So if all cushions come with feather as standard, what about people with allergies? Why is this not on the product description? Also how is it that our single seat chair only has foam? You can’t claim one thing in your product description and then provide something completely different. After pointing this out, we were told the manager of the store in Reading would contact us. He did, today by email. It was an embarrassing read and showed that he clearly lacks any customer service skills. He said he was ‘confused’ about our complaint because of the time lapse. Has Stephen not been following our correspondence? This seems to feel a bit like a comedy act. The employees at the Reading branch also seem to follow in their manager’s footsteps, where one of them started to run to the back of the store to avoid speaking with us. Such is their customer service! The amount of stress these clowns have caused in the past year has taken its toll especially whilst we were busy welcoming a new addition to our family. I would strongly recommend others to stay well away from this branch as I have heard similar stories from friends and family. They literally are an embarrassment to themselves!"
