"Car in for service and mot. Was seen as soon as walked in door. Gave me an estimated time for collecting car. Received updates by text throughout process and a call 2 hours earlier than expected that works were finished. Car washed and hoovered and was shown out to the car. I encountered in total 3 members of staff all of whom were pleasant. Professional and knowledgeable. First time using this outlet of arnold clark and was happy with the experience. Nice environment to wait in as well. Got another car to service and will be using them again."

"The lady that served me yesterday is loverly, I've dealt with her a couple of times in the past, she's very helpful. I had to sort out someone else's problem they were having with their car as they bought it from there and they had been ill. The amount of problems with work taking too long etc was a complete nightmare and personally I wouldn't of gone there in the first place after being sold a car that had quite a few issues wrong with it hence multiple visits in the first six of him having the car."

"Couldn’t care less about the after sales, reported this on the 1st weekend of having the car, 2 months on no further on been in twice for head light to be looked at 1st time got told it needs replaced, 2nd time was a carry on, cancelled on me twice, then had the car for 4 days to get told nothing wrong! 24 hours later shock and behold back misting up again! Been a week and no one has phone me back after phoning multiple times asking to speak to a manger! Got told they would leave the job open but honestly they just fill you of so much rubbish it’s unreal. Never using or buying from them again and I’ve always bought a car from them!"

"When I bought the car from Arnold Clark in 2017, I also bought the 3 year service package. The car has been serviced every year by Arnold Clark., or at least, I think it has! A few weeks before the car was due to go in for its 4th year service, a large amount of oil started leaking from underneath the car. I took it to a different garage and the mechanic told me that he had a huge problem removing the oil filter because it was on too tightly. Secondly, he told me that he strongly suspects that the oil filter was not changed during the last service because the filter he had removed, was very rusty. He said that if the car has been serviced every year, an oil filter shouldn't be that rusty and the amount of rust on the filter is almost certainly what has caused the oil to leak from the filter. Just to be sure, I took the rusty filter to 2 other garages and asked their opinion before I contacted Arnold Clark. Both garages told me that they wouldn't expect to see that on a filter just under a year old. I emailed Arnold Clark customer service and a manager from the branch called me back and invited me in to speak with him. He was very professional and pleasant but did not offer me an explanation as to what happened and he said that the oil filter didn't seem to be in a bad condition. He did suggest that it could be rusty because I like beside the sea! Unsure whether I have been fobbed off because I am a woman, or because of some other reason. I certainly feel that my complaint is not being taken seriously and I have elevated my complaint to The Motor Ombudsman."
