"I found the counselling services offered by Mind and Body Works incredible. I had the pleasure of undertaking eight sessions with counsellor Marc Romero, and I cannot speak highly enough of his empathy, understanding and kindness. From the outset, I felt immediately comfortable and safe in talking to him about a variety of issues, and in particular benefitted immensely from his use of EMDR. By the end of the eight sessions, I had learned to minimise the negative emotional charge associated with particular triggers, and had developed a reservoir of coping skills and techniques to deal with stressful situations. Thanks to his skillful support and encouragement, I feel capable and competent in dealing with any future situations that life can throw at me."
"We arrived at mind and body works having found ourselves dealing with a very difficult situation with our son. Mind and body went out of there way to assist and helped greatly in our situation. There help and assistance was of great help to us. If we were to rely on our health service we would be still waiting. We got very good guidance and support from Mind and Body Works"
"Mind and body work were a life saver to me and my family in a time when the non existent public services let us down. They paired my son with a councillor and he build a great rapport with him and used EDMR to help him work through some difficult topics. They paired me with an amazing councillor giving me a chance to talk through everything and helping me to deal with all that was going on. We also did PEERS, a course for socially awkward teens to learn coping skills and helps parents support their teens.they were at all times professionals and supportive and caring. Many thanks"
"Eoghan is amazing at what he does. I initially started with EMDR therapy which worked like a charm. Since it’s been so effective I’m continuing doing other therapy with him. I highly recommend him. He’s a really nice guy with a great energy and he makes it easy to open up to bc there’s no judgment from him whatsoever. Highly recommend"
"Edit: Stephen, I still have the emails where I asked Kevin to NOT send my feedback on. I’m not sure how you thought I said the opposite. Also, how was this handled in a professional manner when still, not a single person has emailed me back when I asked to chat with a manager/supervisor. Very disappointing! I don't typically like to write bad reviews but it's been 1 year since I've visited the clinic and I'm still bothered, hence the need to write this so late. Originally I had emailed a specific therapist that specialized in the type of issue I was having, but unfortunately she was fully booked. My needs were passed on to Kevin who promptly recommended I see Jessica. I would now say it's safe to assume he put me with whoever was available. My session with Jessica may have been the most awkward experience I've ever been through. I'll try to keep a long story short. From the moment I sat down, Jessica sat there silently staring at me. She told me this was a safe space, and that I could talk freely and she will just sit there and listen. I explained that I was nervous and maybe if she could ask me a few questions to help get me started as I had no idea how to even begin the session myself? She said " I could ask you questions, but I won't". I told her how awkward I felt by her just staring at me in silence and she would just respond with things like " hmmm very interesting you find this awkward". After about 20 minutes of me staring out the window, while she silently stared at me, I decided I would tell her that I was thinking about just going home. She just repeated how she could ask me questions to open up the conversation, but that she won't. I've never in my life walked out of a session before, until that day. I ended up emailing Kevin with a massive essay of a complaint. All I got in response was "Thanks for your feedback. Would you like me to send this over to Jessica, or would you like to meet with her again?" No apology. No empathy, and seriously?... Meet with her again? I replied that I wanted my feedback sent on to a manager and that I'd like to discuss how this happened, and why I felt ripped off. I didn't even ask for a refund, I just simply wanted to chat. I never got a reply back. Completely unprofessional. 0 stars if possible. It took me years to build up the courage to see a counsellor. I can't believe this was the outcome!"
