Reviews
"Clean, efficient, useful and novel. Links the main car park and entrance to Alton Towers, avoiding a 15 minute walk. Unfortunately there is always quite a long line and boarding takes a long time too. However it's nice to sit down when you do get on and relax for a short time. You get some park views on the journey. During peak busy periods the line to enter will be out the station and around the corner. At that point, it will be definitely quicker to walk the mile to the entrance, but there is quite a steep hill and may not be suitable for all."
"Did the job, got us to Alton Towers! We were not even there on a busy day but the queues were so long, so the wait was tricky with a small child. We decided would be quicker walking back which it definitely was as it was not moving at all!"
"Loved it! Up there with 13 and Rita as my favourite ride. Also has the added benefit of slightly lower height requirement so my 9yr old could ride with us."
"Long queue, just about to get it when it broke down, 20 min walk with a child to the Theme Park is not something you dream of. Early rides entry provided by Alton Towers Hotels was ruined."
"Other reviews are spot on, the monorail itself is clean, spacious and convenient. But there can be really long queues which are not helped by the staffs inability to fill the carriages, so a lot of them have space for another 2-4 people."
