"Terrible college! Teacher literally give you link on YouTube and ask you to learn from that. Also most of the classes are useless! You spend time on writing assignments on film courses, when you actually have to grab the camera and learn that with teachers. But they even don't teach! I would recommend you that college only if you wish waste few years on doing nothing and damage your mental health, as some teachers can be very rude and unhelpful!"
"I studied Certified Accountancy Pathway Traineeship level 6 at BCFE. It's a year course with 3 months relevant work experience inclusive. The course is a game changer for me in the my career, coming out with ACCA Diploma in Accounting & Business, Certified in Payroll Techniques from Irish Payroll Association IPASS, good exposure to SAGE Accounting and level 6 Excel Spreadsheet. The college is well equipped with brilliant Tutors to help out throughout my academic journey. Having all these qualifications and knowledge boosted my chances of getting a good job out there. I made the best decision in my life going back to college to study this course. Now I work as Regulatory Reporting Analyst. WHY NOT TAKE YOUR CHANCE WITH THIS COURSE?????????."
"I studied Certified Accountancy Pathway Traineeship level 6. This course is fantastic and it has opened many doors for me into my ideal career. There is excellent support from tutors and great resources available in the college. It is hard work but the rewards at the end are worth it. Having an ACCA qualification instantly boosted my career."
"Was a good college but went downhill. Some of the teachers are bullyish and some shouldnt be working with people as they are unpredictable. Also if you are over a certain age then they don’t put you forward for things. 3 years wasted."
"College is poorly managed and tutors lack knowledge on subjects they are meant to be teaching. Informed college in August 2018 that their software licences were expired and this was never sorted by the time my course ended in May 2019. Wrote a letter to both CDETB head office and the minister for education, John Halligan, and was informed by minister Halligan that after making enquiries "the college note there was a hick up at the start but everything is moving smoothly now" which wasn't true as at that point (February 2019) we still didn't have the necessary software and one of the tutors resigned as his class was unable to happen due to the lack of software. Eventually another tutor was brought in but was very rushed and only got the final assignment from them in April. Advertised as teaching multiple software packages with tutors from different companies. The software used (that isn't expired) is Maya and ZBrush, while the industry tutors are all from one studio. A course for VFX that in the second year had only one class that involved turning on a computer, is an an absolute joke. Out of 14 modules over two years, only 2/3 were relevant, with no class on video production, yet a fully edited movie being required for the group project, huge focus on photography but the proper tutor was taken away and replaced with someone who couldn't even find the F stop of a camera. Very little education supplied overall. Class was fobbed off as the college only care about taking their money. If you make a complaint, the deputy principals will treat you as the bad guy for wasting thousands of euro on a course that failed to teach you anything relevant. Previous group of students and next group had more relevant modules than my group, which the college was responsible for in changing. Next group ended up with 4/5 students by the end so their second year is unlikely to happen. If you love watching YouTube, not learning anything important, and discussing alien conspiracy theories you might like this course. Was told by a student on a different course, while in the building, that he hopes I die, management done nothing about this."
