Reviews
"My daughter had a very good experience auditioning at the College of Dance and was subsequently accepted onto the Transition Year course. I have come back to edit this review now that she has completed the Transition Year course. The College of Dance has two fantastically dedicated and hardworking artistic directors in Sam and Bernie. The calibre of the staff and the guest teachers was superb, and my daughter graduated having had a thoroughly beneficial year. The college provided her with some great experiences including the chance to take class with dancers from NDT2 and of course the massive experience of preparing for and performing in the Graduation Show. Her year in the college has also provided her with contacts in the world of dance and with friends for life."
"loved it"
"My daughter is currently in the Transition Year Program at the College of Dance. As a parent I was apprehensive about sending her to Dublin from Kerry but I now know we made the right decision. She is enjoying every aspect of the course. Teachers are very professional in their specific areas but also show extreme kindness, care and understanding to all their students. My daughter had ballet and jazz experience both of which she is still pursuing in the college as well as contemporary, commercial, tap, pilates, drama/vocals, ballet studies, jazz studies, contemporary studies and choreography. Despite not having experience in many of these areas, it didn't hold her back in any way. The facilities are wonderful and there are lots of public transport options close to the college. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who is passionate about dancing."
"My time at the College of Dance has prepared me unequivocally for further education abroad and a future career in Dance and Musical Theatre. I studied here for a year, and was supported and pushed every step of the way to exceed in ways I didn’t think before were possible, in all aspects of dance, vocals, fitness and especially, confidence. My training here gave me the skills to help me achieve a full scholarship to study Musical Theatre at the Institute of the Arts, Barcelona. Would fully recommend this college to anyone who is serious about a future in Dance or Musical Theatre."
"The College of Dance is the premier dance educator for full time dance and performance arts training. Excellent teachers, solid training, wonderful top class studios and facilities. I began my full dance training at the College. The excellent teachers gave me a strong, solid & well rounded dance training. With their support and guidance I continued further training in the Uk. I forged a successful career in the performing arts and as a dance teacher, The College of Dance was crucial to my career path. Now as Artistic Director I am in the position to ensure the next generation of young dancers and performers receive the solid training in dance and performing arts as I did. The College of Dance is a professionally run organisation, offering diverse programmes to match the needs of students and current trends in the industry. Ensuring our students leave with a strong, solid technique and a balanced education in all areas of the performance industry."
