"I don't normally bother with reviews but due to my incredibly bad experience studying with Hibernia College I couldn't not write one. Things feel chaotic and there is no real, tangible help for struggling students. I emailed the finance team about a payment plan for a repeat school placement fee, which costs over €600 on top of the regular fees. The first thing they wanted to know was when I would be able to pay the the fee in full.... This, to me, highlights the fact that Hibernia are more concerned about the money rather than student welfare. To not even consider that a student looking for a payment plan might be struggling but can make sure to ask for a specific date to receive the money..... This brings me to one of the most misleading things about Hibernia College and that is that students can work while they study. During one of the school placements, I expressed concern about the fact that I was finding it difficult to get all of the paper work done in the evenings as I work in the evenings and still had to pay off the loan I took out to complete the course, on top of other bills. The tutor assigned to me told me that I shouldn't be working while studying due to the workload of the PME, they also told me that they chose to leave their job when they were completing their own school placement... however many years ago.... but unfortunately not everyone is in a position where they can choose to stop working and still pay bills. For a college that preaches so much about equality and inclusivity, it is totally unacceptable that this is the advice given from a tutor, that represents the college, to a student who let them know that they were struggling. This wasn't the first time that a member of staff from Hibernia let students know that they shouldn't be working.... Some staff members are pleasant to deal with and are quite knowledgeable in their areas but not all..... There is so much more I could write but this is long enough for a review. Please, anyone who is considering teaching as a profession, try your luck with any of the other teacher training colleges. Hibernia should be the last place you try."

"Very bad. Worst college ever. No support whatsoever. Unkind and money motivated staff. No support, encouragement or guidance given even when asked for. Swop your life long savings in return for the promise of a certificate that may not be granted. This college ruined my life."
