"The teachers are very friendly and easy to work with in the Costume Design course. I can certainly praise Linda for being such a great help throughout the course. A really patient and understanding teacher. I particularly loved the makeup classes as they were more my thing going into the course. It is definitely more of a historical theater based costume course as apposed to fashion or more of a contemporary theme . This course is an amazing course for learning how to sew, getting to know the costume industry and perfecting your craft as an artist. You may struggle if you don't know how to sew but you definitely will learn alot on the spot by being thrown into the deep end. However I will say that at certain times the course was definitely more stressful than what it needed to be (for example the Shakespearian play) and you do not get both level 5 and 6 on your certificate even though it is a two year course and that is infact what you have completed. Hope that you have a good year in your course because you do infact have to work with them very closely and navigate yourself through costume designing a play by yourselves. I have learned alot about myself and I feel I have grown as an artist from it however I feel strongly that with another year added and with much better management and a correct certificate this course I would definitely recommend to any artist / designer who is eager to learn about the world of costume design."
