"My experience with Portobello Institute while studying the BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies was very positive. My supervisor (Rachel Dunne) was very professional and supportive, providing guidance throughout the course. Her dedication to her job is admirable. As a mature student she gave me the confidence in myself to explore research out of my comfort zone which has made this learning an interesting journey. I feel I have learned a lot from this course and would highly recommend studying with Portobello Institute. Many Thanks Grace"
"I recently completed my Early Childhood Studies Honours Degree with Portobello Institute. All of the staff and lecturers were so helpful and efficient throughout my time with the college. Rachel Dunne was my supervisor for my final year research project. She was on hand at all times with advice and ideas on helping with my project. It is clear that she is very dedicated and interested in her work and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without her. Thank you!"
"A lovely college. Classes are generally not too big so it gives the lecturers a chance to go around to each student individually. With the smaller classes you really get to know your fellow students, which is great for support, sharing ideas, and when you graduate, to know fellow people in the industry. The lecturers are brilliant, and always there to support you. Even after graduating they will check in to see how you’re doing and help where they can for you to reach your career goals. Thoroughly enjoyed my time in Portobello, and would highly recommend."
"I took the Tour Guiding Course at Portobello to refresh my knowledge this winter and it was fantastic. Jim is the tutor and he is great. He has a wealth of knowledge and we learnt so much. We had easy access to download of all of our documents. We also had the flexibility to catch up with playback of each class online so we could do the course at our own pace if we couldn't make lectures. Jim is a really cool character. He teaches in an interesting, interactive way that brings the group together. I highly recommend the course at Portobello and Jim as a tutor. :)"
"I decided to go back to college after the pandemic and after looking at so many courses I chose Fashion Buying and Merchandising at Portobello Institute. As a mature student the part time 3 modules was the perfect balance for me, it allowed me to continue working but also focus on my classes. I got a well rounded view of fashion through design, visual merchandising and buying. All my tutors were great and so supportive! In particular Anne-Marie, she has such great knowledge and her classes in Fashion Buying gave me the necessary skills and confidence to go forward in my career."
