"The school is fantastic for any student, the care and attention given to students is second to none. Teachers are very giving of their time to help students do well in exams or in sports. A homework club is on each evening to help younger students with homework. Newer students to the school get mentors in older yeargroups which really help them settle in. My daughter has been transformed since joining the school. After spending a year in another school in the area where she was bullied I am so glad we made the decision to switch to Setanta."
"This school is very bad they take small things so serious and dont care about there students and some teachers are horrid and give to much work and expect it back in such a short time this school is shocking."
"As a previous student of this school and probably one of the biggest troublemakers in my year I can say that even though I had my ups and downs and felt like dropping out a couple times, Setanta is one of the best schools in Dublin. They care for you, even though it was a bit much sometimes lool, the staff are great and even though there rules never made sense to me at the time, I can now see and understand why they were there. Setanta has honestly made me the person I am today. It was good character building as I like to say. So if you want to send your kid here don't think twice about it and the 1 star reviews are probably from kids that were like me when I was younger because at the time I probably would've done the same stupid thing."
"I am shocked to read the reviews of this school, and do not feel they reflect the true reality of this school. My son was refused entry to other schools because he had autism, he was out of school for quite a number of months, and we had no hope that he would gain an appropriate school placement. We were advised to apply to CPSC. It was the best decision we made. The students are embraced, valued, wanted and accepted. The education is not just academic, but the students social, emotional, psychological and intellectual development is considered and developed. I genuinely feel so lucky that my son gained a place in this school. He has just finished there, and we will truly miss the wonderful Teachers, SNA's, Management, Canteen, Secretarial, and Reception staff. He just attended his Debs night, where a Teacher and SNA, gave of their own time to be with the students, so the night would be safe, and enjoyable for all. As a parent of a number of children, who have been through 3 different Secondary schools, this school has exceeded all my expectations."
"My son started here in 2012 and my daughter in 2014 and I have another daughter due to start next year. When your child leaves primary school, it’s a very daunting time when they start secondary. I was very happy the way Colaiste Pobail Setanta made the transition easier for my kids. There is a good relationship with the feeder primary schools in the area. I’ve never had any issues and if I ever needed to talk to the school, they were very open to any issues or discussions I needed to have. I always found the management and staff of the school very open and welcoming and I have seen first hand how supportive they are to the students. My kids have had great supports there over the years and also have been very happy. When your 17 year old daughter says she laughs every day in school, well something must right."
