"We beat their senior boys hockey team, great school"
"Blown up school for wannabes. Fakers and pretenders, raising intolerant children with bad attitudes. Will never recommend this school."
"Teachers genuinely care about us and our well being, as well as making daily life in school fun. When I was out for about 3 weeks with a concussion I was contacted by teachers to make sure I was ok. Even during lockdown we were all cared for in the best way teachers could do. Amazing school."
"One of the best schools ever! Loved every second, the teachers where lovely and encouraging. I was in the school for primary and secondary, made so many friends for life, teachers that helped me through the years. Definitely recommend!"
"This school is an absolute disaster . The teachers do not give any feedback what so ever on work and examinations, make low to zero attempt on helping students one on one even with small class sizes, teachers are not in school too often making classes a waste of the students time, extraordinarily strict uniform policy, when in the detention/study room the supervisor is unaware of why students are there which leads to perfectly innocent students being punished for studying with classmates. The only things that St. Andrews really care about are their sports and reputation. Proof of this is when inspectors visit, students are strictly told to act differently to the point of not letting any bathroom breaks. When there are matches for their sport programs most students and teachers attend to the game instead of staying at school, this makes some students not have teachers and contributes to the waste of time that this school already is. Bringing more onto the reputation point stated earlier, the uniform is very strict and even wearing non-polishable black shoes or a non-uniform jacket into school can result in detention. This is rubbish because a students black shoes shouldn't be more looked at and cared about than a students well being and learning. Further, slight adjustment to uniform does not distract any students from their learning experience and environment. This school uses scare tactics and threatens their students with detention their point system "negatives" for truly unjustifiable reasons. My children are almost to their third year attending the school and each week come home stressed and unfulfilled; we have not wanted to change schools because we are not a religious family and have been unsuccessful in finding a school that does not have a preferred religion. I have lost respect for this school and their ways of teaching. I lastly feel that St. Andrews College is severely overrated and should have a thorough inspection. I am not the only parent that has spoken out about this schools broken system. Overall I am morbidly disappointed and would not recommend your child to attend this school if they want a good experience and a normal education."
