"Great spot! A gem amongst many traditional pubs around Dublin this is tucked in a shopping centre and WOW! The aesthetics are very chill yet colorful and had a very nice atmosphere. Pricing is a tad on the high side but for Dublin it's more reasonable than anywhere in the tourist trap areas like temple bar. Food was nice, great cocktails and friendly staff! Recommend booking a table in advance but you might get lucky and get a free one in the "outer" tables area. Vaping allowed inside the restaurant area, but not in the bar/dance area, you must go out the front for that or smoking. Great DJ and vibe. *"Staff" in the bathrooms very pushy for money which is the reason for the loss of a star."
"My server I believe Eli's from Brazil. I apologize for not remembering. This review is a couple of months old but still relevant. The decorum is unique and beautiful. Service was attentive. The pizza was delicious. The dough had the right amount of chewiness. It was delivered hot & fresh. The drinks were innovative and good as well. Very appealing to the eye."
"Reasonable price, high quality. One of the staffs was really nice and showed her kindness. A customer vomited near us and it was really disgusting there. The staff found another table for us immediately. But another staff came and took our order without any greeting but charged us extra 2 euro for ‘staff cover charge’. Both me and my friend felt really happy to tip the first staff but not the other one. Anyway, it’s still a really nice place for girls’ hang out. Recommend."
"The service wasn’t the most efficient and the food was quite basic. It is a good spot to hangout with friends and have a couple of drinks in between your shopping, but I think for the price you could get a nicer experience elsewhere."
"My entree arrived 20 minutes after my partner's and turned out to be the worst chicken burger I've ever tasted. It was freezing cold (obviously) and the meat was terribly dry and stringy as though it was very old or maybe stored incorrectly before being cooked. I politely let staff know that there was something wrong with the burger/it wasn't good/I didn't want to eat it and asked if I could get something else instead. I've never had someone argue this and tell me there's nothing wrong with the burger and insist that I just don't personally like the taste - but that's exactly what happened. The manager on duty (Mattias?) was extremely unprofessional and instead of offering me something else to eat or a bill reduction, or even to take it off the table and bring me something else at my own cost, proceeded to insist that the food "wasn't raw" so he wouldn't offer me any alternative. He simply walked away and left the plate of food which I clearly was not going to eat. As a former waiter, it was handled in the exact opposite way it should have been. We're local and new to the area and were looking forward to making Pyg a regular spot, but there's not a chance I would give any money to any business with such abysmal food & customer service. Avoid."
