"Had heard so much. Had food in bar as was busy. Was about an hour waiting for table to be cleared, Had to go to bar to ask bar man. Also Had to go to bar for a drink as feel our table in bar was forgotten. When I was at the bar and ordered drinks (a glass of wine, water and 2 minerals, bar man gave me the wine and water and then proceeded to serve someone else who had just entered the bar so I was left standing there waiting"
"Excellent service. We had a late lunch. I had a lamb shank with mash and a lovely sauce with vegetables. Also one of our party had lemon sole and fish cakes. We were served in the bar as the lounge was busy. A roaring stove fire made everything cosy. Great service will be back."
"Lovely local spot. Fresh, delicious food with daily specials. Corned beef on Fridays particularly good. Lovely staff. A favourite place of ours. Gets busy at times, so always worth booking."
"We went for a drink 2 weeks ago to celebrate our son's Graduation and we were blown away by the service we received. We all decided to eat without having a booking and even though there were 12 of us, the staff fully accommodated us and we had a delicious meal. The pub was ao busy yet we received amazing service. This is now our designated pub for upcoming family celebrations."
