"I have been renting for 6 years in Brighton. Pavilion properties has probably been one of the best so far. They are very attentive and responsive to any problem the tenant might have. However, as every other agency they tried to overcharge us when it was time to give us back the deposit. The agent sent us an email with deductions invented by him. When asked to provide invoices/receipts of the work done in the flat after our departure, he said he didn't have them as "he agreed verbally" with the cleaning agencies/ electricians, and etc. When we told them we would have seek legal advice, considering they were not adhering to the 2019 tenancy act, they magically provided receipts (which were obviously showing a lower amount to pay). This behaviour deserved to be presented to the authorities but we decided to avoid as both my flat mate and I were already abroad. Pay attention when it comes to get back your deposits and make sure you know your rights as tenants!"
"Nightmare experience - we had so many issues with the house that weren't resolved properly and it would take so long to get anyone out. When we moved in the house was filthy, a smashed window, no WiFi for almost 2 weeks (despite having a bills-included contract) and dirty, broken furniture. The bathrooms were in such poor condition that when we finally negotiated getting one of them changed, the contractors laughed at how bad it was. Mould, mice, broken boiler, broken oven - when we would report our maintenance issues we were spoken to so poorly and got hung up on on a number of occasions. I wouldn't have written a review as I just wanted to cut all ties with them, but after a big chunk of money was taken out of our deposit (after leaving the house in a much better state than we found it) I just want to warn people to avoid!!"

"Having been a tenant at one of Pavilion's properties for many years I can safely say that they have always treated myself and my housemates really well. The fact that we have been good tenants has been recognised and reflected in keeping our rent at a really good value rate, and if we've had any maintenance issues they always send someone professional over reasonably promptly to fix it. The people in the office are always nice to deal with, and I'm happy to have had them as letting agents for so long, a relationship I hope to continue."
