"Honestly incredible that their carvery restaurant had no vegetarian option in 2023. I asked for vegetables from the carvery and a plate of chips. I got two scoops of what seemed to be smash, two very hard roast potatoes, watery cabbage and what might have been turnips. The chips were ok. It cost 11.30. Yuck."

"Fantastic hotel. Loved it and will come back again. Only downside was the heating was very warm. Like had to sleep in my underwear warm, with the window open (blinds drawn) warm. In the middle of winter when it was 2degC outside. I did mention it to the front desk but nothing got done about it. My work colleagues didn’t have the same heat in their room but it was still warmer than they wanted. Otherwise a classy hotel, lovely food for breakfast and bar for meals. An odd thing was organising the continental breakfast for early departures was more difficult than I would imagine it should have been. We organised it for the first day we needed it and then told the front desk staff member we needed the same the next day. We were told we had to wait until that night to tell the staff then. I would have thought there would be a system to note messages or collect continental breakfast orders. It’s not a massive deal but we needed to eat at 5:30am and left for work by 5:50am and got back from work at 9pm. I don’t want to have to wait to tell the staff I need the same as the day before - it would have been that nice touch to just have that done when I had their attention that first early breakfast. I did have the buffet breakfast one morning and it was really nice. Loved it. The staff were polite and friendly enough but more like English service, not what I would expect Irish service to be (friendlier!) Very nice grounds and the wifi worked well enough. I’ll come back again!"

"We booked the spa hotel for a christening dinner and it was excellent! We had plenty of space in the Hannora D’ restaurant, the staff were attentive and the menu options extensive. The portions were good and everyone was very well fed. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would definitely book again in future."

"Communication from the hotel is very poor. Staff need retraining, very unprofessional spoken man in causal dress checked us out. Don't use the lift if you are nervous of them, I'm not nervous but refused to use it after one trip in it. Rooms are tatty. Whole place needs a new manager for a good shake up. It could be a lovely hotel."

"Myself and my husband had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding in the Lucan Spa Hotel recently. We had a brilliant day, staff were fantastic and extremely helpful in the build up to the big day. Special thanks to Alison and Ulick for looking after us throughout the process, Alan for his help with setting up the room the night before, and Amy who gave me a great pep talk as the jitters settled in that morning! The banqueting room looked beautiful and the food was superb and plentiful. Bridal suite was fabulous. I was very pleased it was available for my photos and getting dressed in before the ceremony. Overall, can't recommend it enough, it was a magical day!"
