"I really had a lovely time. it is such a special place. Very clean, well organised, quiet and spacious. The bed was really comfortable and the view onto St. Julian's Church was wonderful. Also the kitchen area, library and reading room were all very useful and added to the over all experience. So thank you to Josiah and everyone else involved for creating the such a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Hallows Guesthouse comes highly recommended!"
"This truly is one of the best places I've ever stayed. It's hard to describe why - from the outside, it doesn't look like anything special (and actually I wouldn't have found it from the outside). But there are many things about it that make it stay out. Firstly it's run so well, with so special touches - from homebaked bread, to a spotless kitchen you can use, a cosy sitting room, even an adorable dog who also lives there. Secondly, it's right next to St Julian's Shrine - if you are interested in her work, in writing, in history or female mystics and philosophers there is so much inspiration here - a small but wonderful library and a beautiful garden where you can sit or walk down to the shrine. It's also affordable for solo travellers. I'm so glad I found this guesthouse, thanks for the fabulous trip, and also to the people who told me about it!"

"If you are looking for a spiritual retreat in the centre of the city - this is a wonderful place to consider. People who take care of it are very invested in it, and it shows! We felt very welcomed and well-looked after even though we only stayed for a night."
"Absolutely fantastic place. Beautiful surroundings, and the couple running it were so kind, friendly and helpful, and very knowledgeable on the local history. The beds were lovely and comfortable so we slept well, and the room was spacious and homely. The breakfast was superb. They had no issue catering for a vegan diet either. We loved being able to sit in the garden, taking in the scenery, and eating our meal (inside seating also available), it was a lovely touch. All Hallows is within a very short walk of the city centre, but you couldn't tell, it's so peaceful. We will definitely be visiting again, and will recommend to others. Many thanks for a lovely stay."
