"Stay away from the black salon I debated whether I should review or not but after my last appointment, I vowed to NEVER let them book me into the black salon ever again. Not sure but I think that’s where the new nail techs are posted. This isn’t a one off either. Every time I’m booked into the back salon, something goes wrong. Either my jell nails are too think, the half moon shape is uneven, they treat my nails and skin too harshly and make it bleed, etc. it’s time I express my discontent. I’m so unhappy with my last nail appointment. I mean look at this pealing: it stared to show the very next day. (Attached pic was taken 2 weeks after the appointment but the pealing started immediately.) I knew in my gut that they stuck me with an inexperienced nail tech and it shows. The black salon should charge lower prices to reflect the experience level and quality."

"Not a nice experience at all. When I was looking on the website to book my appointment, the menu of nail options was so needlessly extensive and complicated that I had to call the salon, explain what I wanted and ask what to select online in order to book this. The woman on the phone told me to book Shellac and Nail Repair (I had explained that I wanted shellac on my natural nails, but one of my nails was broken so I wanted an extension on that to match the length of the others). So, I booked what I was told to book. Arrived in salon on the day of the appointment and when I sat down at the station the technician didn't even say hello. Literally nothing. As she was filing my nails, I said I needed an extension on the broken one and she looked up at me and said No, we can't do that sorry. I explained I had called ahead and asked what to book, and she tried to twist it to make it sound like I had made a mistake, by saying "oh you probably booked it with two different girls did you?". She was huffy and clearly annoyed, and went up to the desk to ask. She came back and did add the extension, but I got no apology whatsoever, no conversation out of her, and I felt completely uncomfortable the entire time. She was chatting away to her colleagues but not one word to me. The whole salon had an awkward, unfriendly energy. I'm fairly happy with how my nails turned out but will NOT be returning, the price you pay for this place is not worth the extremely uncomfortable and unfriendly atmosphere and very bad customer care."

"Ive been injured and I wanted nail art on regular polish but they said it can’t be on regular it needs to be something else even tho I asked for dotted flower, only one (I use regular nail polish to do simple art all the time as I’m an artist and been trying it for a while) .. secondly, the way the nail polish was applied to my nails wasn’t great ,, it showed the separated lines between the layers, I’m gonna attach the photos where you can see what I mean. Lastly, they don’t clean my nails before applying just shape them! Nails need to be cleaned from underneath after shaping them!!!"
