"I had a great time best place to stay during the great escape people just jamming out in the dorms with instruments it's very good I enjoyed staying in a dorm met some fantastic people the hotel was sweet as a nut too. Ps don't worry about bringing shampoo or anything like that caise there is so many people they just leave their wash stuff in the shower plenty shower wash and shampoo to go around. We all share here. Perfect"
"Google should make 0 star a thing for this specific place. This is the worst hostel I've ever stayed in in my life. And I've travelled a fair bit. 1. Unwelcome greeting on arrival 2. Forced to pay £1.99 to use cash machine to pay laundry deposit 3. Cannot rent a towel, have to buy one for £6. What a joke 4. Kitchen is an absolute tip and basically unusable. Mouldy food everywhere 5. The building feels unsafe. 6. You will be listening to drum and bass until 4am 7. The 3 bed dorm looks worse than most prison cells 8. There are bed bugs 9. No one showed me to my room was just to go find it. So lazy of then 10. Handed sheets to put on my bed. Again such bad form 11. Massively overpriced at £40 a night. Not worth a tenner. 12. There are no lockers so valuables cannot be secured 13. The privacy curtain is about half the length of the bed 14. I think you get the point by now. Please don't waste even a minute of your life in this building. I have come off the back of a mega shift. Started at 3am. It's now the early hours of the morning, nearly 24 hours later and I still can't sleep despite being knackered because this hostel is so bad. I am so annoyed"
"Without doubt the worst hostel experience ever. Charged £10 extra to have our own private room in which the old window wouldn't shut properly, extra linen not provided as they said they would, room stank of chlorine/bleach, mould stains above the bed, bed sheets stank. If there was ever a tribute to Dickensian Britain, this is it. Avoid at all costs!"
"It’s a Cheap Hostel. That’s the expectation you should have while staying here. Although it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. I Checked in and they were very fast. I’m a photographer and I had a lot of gear and equipment I wanted to keep in a safe just in case and they locked it up in the reception, so you can leave anything with them and it’s safe. I Stayed in a 15 bed room and the people I slept with were very discrete and friendly, none of them made me feel insecure and they didn’t make noise. Although there was a guy that confronted me because according to him I was looking at the others guys stuff and I was a creep, although I didn’t do that and i just walked past him, which kind of annoyed me. Keep in mind that the hotel is just above a club and at night there’s a lot of noise and vibrations. My only issue really were the showers, I couldn’t shower properly in the 2 nights I stayed there. If you’re a back packer traveler like me you won’t have issues staying here and I’d recommend it because it’s cheap."
"We had a private room with a single double bed which was on this particular night (£600). It’s obvious to see that the room is not of the standard you would expect paying that much: it had a TV that didn’t work and the toilet was practically a giant shower room and there is no personal safe. Despite that it was a safe room to leave our belongings and go back to between going out. I Would recommend but perhaps not on busy periods like we booked (Brighton pride)."
