Reviews
"Honestly not good but not bad, there was mould on the room walls and the gravy was watery. The good part was the fact that the beds were comfortable and the activities were really nice, although the matresses, and pillows were very stiff."
"Stopped in for a quick coffee/whisky in the middle of a rainy, windy hike. Very warm, cosy, comfy and clean cafe and lounge area, and nice toilets. Service was stellar and the woman serving us was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, answering all our questions about YHA and clearly very passionate about her job and the YHA mission/purpose. Will definitely look out for YHA's when next booking a trip! Thanks for getting us dry and warm with both your drinks and your company :-)"
"Clean rooms, and bathrooms were also very clean. Had no problem getting to use the showe or toilets, there are plenty there. Our beds were comfy. Location were stunning. U would need a car, or else u will need to book a taxi…would recommend doing this with plenty of notice though.. the breakfast was great value, and very tasty. It was also piping hot. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great stay"
"Contrary to the unfavourable reviews I read, I thought it was a very decent place to stay. The most important thing to us was that the beds and sheets were fresh and clean. The individual I brought along had never stayed in YHA housing before, and I'm delighted they had a good experience. Fresh, pure water was in plentiful supply, which was crucial during the scorching summer we have been having. The building from the outside looks a little scuffy and in need of updating. I hope they receive the funding and investment they merit. Without a doubt, I would recommend it, and I wouldn't think twice about returning. You must be aware of the venue's location, for those looking for night life. For walkers and explorers, it is perfect. The hostel is located on a narrow, winding road some distance from the closest town."
"We have had 2stays here. One in safari tent and one in land pod. We really enjoy it here. We will be back. We only live locally so its ideal for a one nite break for us but I'd imagine you could spend a lovely few days up here. I've not tried the hostel rooms because we prefer the outside but the building is lovely and the self catering kitchen has everything you need."
