"Visit totally ruined by the owner asking us to leave after we finished our breakfast. He said they are extremely busy and if we aren't ordering anymore we should allow others to sit down. I would totally understand if the caffe was busy, and I believe I own enough common sense to let others take my seat when I see them looking for space. However, the place was half empty. I felt offended and humiliated in front of my mum, never again. I appreciate businesses struggle with high bills etc. but you simply don't do that, you don't ask your clients to leave. It never happened to me in any other establishments, even when me and my friends chatted for much longer around empty table than we were probably supposed to. Well, message to other customers, make sure you pack up and go as soon as you done. And one more thing, upstairs could do with little heating, cold and humid. Sorry, I really dont like to leave negative reviews but can't help myself here."
"O bought an ice cream. It was so soft that half fell and most of the rest melted on my bag and trousers. I tried to gotothe bathroom to wash it off, but waited 10 minutes and the user was still there. I wanted to have a word with the owner, but the young girl said he's upstairs. I was the only one upstairs, I suspect the owner was occupying the bathroom. I went back later totalk to him, he said he can't do anything, it's hot. I hope the other fridges and freezers work, but I wouldn't risk it."
"I had some time and walked past about 6 cafes to find one that I wanted to eat at. This place seemed charming had outdoor seating and was reasonably priced. I ordered a full English breakie with tea and it came.oit pretty fast. The service was good and there was lots of cake and treats. There is an upstairs for kids and inside seating area. This is a good place to have food and coffe with friends a partner or just by yourself."
"I often meet a friend for coffee and maybe a cake in Caffe Bar Italia, George Street, Hove and have done for some time, Pandemic aside. Jasmina and Miguel (owners) are absolutely lovely and there is always a warm welcome for their customers. In the past ten days I have had a spaghetti with meatballs and today I had ravioli with seafood, both absolutely delicious. The tomato sauce that came with these dishes is very good indeed and their coffee is always lovely. There is a play area upstairs for toddlers and their parents which is open until 4pm each day. I love it there and hope that you do too."
"Vegan review: Was out walking the streets of Hove, getting to know the area a little. Stumbled across this independent cafe and had a pit stop for a brew! The cafe was warm and inviting given the -2 temperature and blustery wind chill. There was no queue and we were served straight away, we were easily seated downstairs with the choice of a few free tables. My husband got an Americano; I ordered a large soy chai latte (other alternative milk was also available). We didn’t have to wait for long. It came to just over £5. There is a single toilet upstairs, there was a baby gate at the top of the stairs, lots of parents and children were in this crèche-esque type play area with lots of kids toys dotted around. The toilet upstairs had baby changing facilities and was big enough to accommodate manoeuvre if you are wanting to take your kids in. I would return here!"
