"We have now used Royal Cabs on many occasions for taking out my disabled wheelchair bound Mother-in-law to local places for a few hours away from her nursing home. (which is very good). Royal have made these journeys a pleasure on every occasion, they have been prompt every time, have communicated brilliantly by text so we always know exactly what is happening and where our driver is. The drivers themselves have always been helpful, pleasant and careful. I cannot recommend Royal Cabs highly enough, they provide an excellent service which we value immensely."
"Needed to get home after dropping one of my two dogs at the vet so rang up to book a cab. I was charged £25 for a 7.3 mile 14 minute journey which is way above their maximum fare quoted in the cab. I know I had a dog with me but she caused no problems at all and left no mess. Not happy at all. Also online it says you can pay by card but they only take cash."
"I remember using Royal/D&G cabs last year whilst visiting and hated the service but decided to give them another chance this year but they're still poor quality. We specifically asked for a black style cab as we had a pram with us as well as alot of shopping. We were sent a regular car and after already waiting half an hour with two very tired, very grumpy young children we didn't have the time to wait for another to be sent so we had to collapse the pram and squash all our shopping into the boot with it as well as in the back with us 4. The driver didn't offer any apology (we know its not his fault but it's still common courtesy as he represents the company). We won't be using you again."
"Phoned DG for a car suitible for a wheelchair they said to contact their sister company royal cabs. I phoned and booked a few hours prior asking for a car with room for a wheelchair and it was all sorted perfectly. The driver was polite and cautious with his driving, considering my broken leg. If i had to give a negative, i booked the cab for 1 15 and it arrived at 1 05 so i didnt have time to drink the coffee i had just made but that's nothing really. From WB to qmc with the chair was 15 quid."
"Safety concern! No vehicle safety belt or other means of securing stability of wheelchair or passenger was used today. Only the brakes of wheelchair were relied upon. Wheelchair was therefore moving around trapping the passengers feet against the door of vehicle at one point. Also a cab was used a couple of weeks ago whereby only normal seat belt was used. I had to put my foot on wheel of chair to stop it moving around. For a fare if £15 I would expect more safety for the passenger and chair! You do have a driver who has an electric vehicle with very secure fixings. I would give that 10 out of 10. Daughter of disabled passenger"
