"Good job done on replacing and painting in driver's door. Friendly staff throughout the process. Only problem was with the timescale and lack of communication detail. My car was collected on Tuesday 23/8/22, I was told that it should be ready for the weekend. At noon on Friday 26/8 I received a text from Howell's to say that my repairs were at the repainting stage, but there was no indication as to when the car would be ready. Until I phoned Howell's at 4pm on Friday 26/8 to ask about timescale, only to told that they were closing for 3 days over the bank holiday weekend and would reopen on Tuesday 30/8. The next communication was a text on Wednesday 31/8 saying the car was in queue for wash and quality control, but again no indication of timescale given until I phoned at 4.20pm on 31/8 when I was told that my car could be delivered back on Friday 2/9, or I could collect it myself on 1/9 which is what I did - 10 days after it was collected (7 working days). Certainly not the "should be ready by the weekend" advice that Howell's initially gave me and which formed the basis of arranging lifts to work and car-borrowing from relatives."
