"Attention to detail goes a long way when it comes to eating out and it is here that I feel Morrisons gets it wrong. Ordering is a simple enough process. However, why there aren't options to swap out certain items on certain dishes is a bit baffling to me. For example, on the breakfasts, I customise my order to remove the tomato and fried bread. But if I would like an extra egg or toast instead of the fried bread respectively, then I have to pay for it as a separate order. But here is the baffling part. The last two times I ordered toast with my breakfast, I got given four personal-sized packs of butter for one slice of toast. Almost like someone just grabbed at them and chucked them on the plate. Why? Surely that is costing more money than it would to just let me swap out fried bread for toast or an egg for the tomato and have just one personal-sized pack of butter instead. Especially when if you consider that I am still paying the same price for an order with fewer items on it to begin with. Other issues are cleanliness. On the last two visits, I have had to clean the cutlery myself because, I assume, the dishwasher that is being used is either being over-filled or not cleaned properly at the end of the day. Couple that with the cutlery being stored in trays that don't look like they've been cleaned themselves all that often and the overall presentation looks lazy and poor. Even the trays of mugs that are stacked next to the coffee machines aren't that clean, probably due to the trays that they're stored in. I mean, the black marks around the rim of the mugs tell me that whatever surface they are put on after being washed is not clean or, they are not being washed properly to begin with and the marks can be wiped off easily with a napkin. Then there are the tables. Again, on the last two visits, sitting at separate tables, neither one was what I would call clean. I literally had to go and use some blue roll and hand sanitiser and do it myself because the cafe looks understaffed and those staff who were there looked like they had enough on their plate. Not that I am making excuses on their behalf but it was clear to me that one extra member of staff could have been the difference in raising the standards of the place, leaving more time for doing what should be the basics. It's sad to think that Morrisons Cafe has descended to such a low. Presentation is everything when serving food and even though it isn't terrible, attention to detail of some the small things, and what should be basic cleanliness, would make a huge difference to the look and feel of the place."
"Food was terrible Toast wasn't even toasted and full of oil Mushrooms wasn't cooked Hash browns were rock solid Eggs was drowning in oil Scrambled eggs were dry as Tomatoes was all mushy"
"Morrisons Bilston. Is the worse Morrisons cafe I have ever been to. 1. Coffee machine broken , not really a problem but ... 2. Had a pot of tea instead, tea pot was filthy like it hadn't been properly washed for a number of uses. 3. Realised we had no milk , had to interrupt two lady employees talking to find out where milk was, 4. My husband had a salmon sandwich which did look good in the box, sadly the salmon ( very small amount) was extreamly dry, and placed in the center of bread leaving the majority of the bread uncovered by the filling."
"Well there is alot to say about my experience at breakfast this morning. The ordering process was quite simple appart from the fact that the machine did not provide a receipt. Then I was sat hungry for 45 minutes waiting for my breakfast to arrive. When it came they had forgotten my extra bread and butter. Then we get on the breakfast. Firstly, I specifically asked for beans separate as I do not like everything touching but they came half in the bowl and half on the plate. Then moving on to my toast, they might as well have just given me bread. It was cold and barely toasted. Then the final thing was that my hash brown, the thing that I was most looking forward to, was gray and soggy. The hash browns made feel sick just looking at it and I was not happy at all. The service there was also appauling, there was lack of staff, and they did not know what they were going as orders were being delivered wrong and you could see visibly that other customers were not happy at all. Therefore, I will not be returning to bilston Morrisons cafe again any time soon."
"It's an average cafe, used to be way better when they had a bit more staff. A number of tables still dirty with plates on them. We waited around 20 mins for food to come out and to be fair it was decent. Just didnt feel clean whilst in there which is a shame."
