Reviews
"This quiet, cozy, lush accommodation gave us the best sleep we've ever had in a hotel. Perfect for families with kids. Perfect location, wonderful in every way. Can't wait to come back."
"Gorgeous setting, nice well equipped kitchen and rooms but... 1. terrible, weak WiFi especially for a high tech venue. 2. laborious time consuming frustrating tablet check-in registration process. 3. poor directions for the luggage storage. It's not simply "across from of the check-in screen to the left". That would be room #6. It's past that, through the portico, across the courtyard, to the left of the well on the far side of the courtyard around the corner. Big difference. 4. odd shower configuration. It's a tight space and it leaks all over the floor. That being said... 1. they had a stocked fridge of various wines, beers, water and soda pop, etc. which was very nice after a long, hot day of travel. 2. we very much appreciated the option to store our luggage there (once we found it) after check out. Thank you! 3. convenient central location right in the heart of the city close to many restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, retail and historical sites."
"Soiled mattress toppers & poor customer care!!!! Terrible bedding, we found a stain on our bed, with further inspection turned out to be an old BLOOD stain on the mattress protector!!! once that was removed we saw that the mattress topper was covered in old URINE stains, management was shocked too!! Really off putting sleeping there, in fact we couldn't stay because of the filthy bed and the mattress was also rock hard, great if you want a bad back!! Its advertised as 4 star but we think its more a 2 star, they promote full Cowshed bathroom products but actually these are used, and half empty!! the bedroom light was broken on one side of the bed, the radiators and doors were filthy, the kitchen had not been cleaned properly. Looking at the kitchen pans, sieves etc all dirty with old food bits still stuck in them. When we approached management they told us " the mattress stains may be wine !! clearly was not, and they also said " thank you for threatening us twice now, we consider the matter closed!!! Cleaning staff very loud and smoking in door ways, which felt really uncomfortable and looked pretty off putting.. do not waste your money here, its unfortunate that they do not even have good customer service, it seems that they feel they are right and the customer is wrong. Absolutely no where to put clothes!!"
"So we just wanted an overnight stay, the hotels were busy (ban holiday) and I did not want a travel lodge type experience, this was great we had a king size bed, kitchen with bottled water and milk in the fridge (there was the usual mini bar option at cost plus), right in the center of town, really well presented, nice bathroom with Cowshed smellies and soap. So I would recommend all in a period Bath building. I would go again."
"What an absolutely hidden gem! (Pardon the pun) but this place amazed us. The building and setting is so beautiful and the location is the best you could wish for - right in the centre of bath! Absolutely fantastic. Check in and check out was super easy and staff are available over the phone and are attentive and check you have everything you need. We were even able to leave our luggage in a locked area so we could explore our last full day after checking out before going home! This was a life saver! And then the accommodation itself is just the cherry on top. Beautiful, clean and modern apartment with the loveliest courtyard. The cowshed toiletries available to use was such a nice and appreciated touch, we felt spoilt and we all came away smelling fabulous! I honestly cannot rave about this place enough and every time I visit bath this will be the only accommodation I choose (if I am lucky enough that it is available!) THANK YOU!!"
