Reviews
"A warm and welcoming greeting and a great breakfast. The room was a nice size and plenty warm enough given the below freezing temperatures. The room wasn't cleaned properly. There was a card of the previous occupants dated the night prior left in the room. There was also a biscuit wrapper still on the floor. Dirt on the bathroom skirting and what appeared to be food stains on one of the robes in the bathroom. The TV also came on multiple times during the night seemingly on its own."
"Stayed for one night with my boyfriend to explore the Bath Christmas markets. Really clean, gorgeous room, friendly reception staff. We even got a free hot chocolate from the bar on Sunday evening. Great location - right in the heart of the Christmas markets and shops, near Bath Abbey. Would really recommend!"
"No mark for rooms as we didn't stay on this occasion, although we had stayed there for our honeymoon some 51 years previously! We did visit for two meals, one being a cream tea, and the other being a fish and chips supper. A large portion, beautifully cooked. Staff very attentive, and extremely polite. Very handily placed for the Abbey, which was the principal focus of our attention for the weekend. Nice to see the hotel doing so well after such a long time between visits."
"Great location in the centre of Bath. Very close to all the attractions. The rooms were small but well equipped. House keeping was sporadic and only seemed available once a day. One of our rooms had a faulty air con unit. The Reception staff changed the room with no fuss, so well done. The breakfast service was very poor. No buffet service and an average 30 minute wait to get food and drink. The food arrived cold on several occasions and had to be returned. We gave up on the hotel breakfast and used the many excellent cafes nearby."
"Extra star for location. I booked the best room available, £290 a night. When I arrived I received a standard room. When I complained I was told Marriott have the wrong photos on the site. But please be assured you have the best room available. The room was on basement floor and low light. The reception is under staffed and the place just feels a bit old and tired. Needs a good clean and refit. Breakfast was also comical. Good quality food. Just felt like the chef was away and a teenager was plating up. At 9am I don’t expect to be told we are out of bagels or croissants. Just not well organized at all. I will not be returning and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Room is worth £150 a night at most. Location, however couldn’t be better in the heart of bath right next to the Roman baths."
