"I was treated with care and sensitivity in the emergency department in September after a pretty awful wrist fracture. Since then the orthopaedic registrars have been great but the real stars in my treatment have been the physios in the hand unit. I am sure they are all brilliant, but Miranda and Libby are absolutely amazing. I used to think physio was a bit 'one size fits all' but the treatment and education I've received from Libby in particular was so tailored to my specific injuries and the exercises so thought-through and informative and HELPFUL. When the NHS works it really works. We need to treasure it Please"
"Amazing the nurses are fantastic. Had a bit of trouble with miscommunication in a&e but once been seen properly the got me tested and found the cause of my pain quickly. I have spent 4 night in here and the nurses on my wards couldn’t be more helpful, friendly or caring. Nothing was too much for them. I wouldn’t fancy another stay but if I had to I would be happy if I got bri"
"Been there twice this week and lots in the past. Very hit and miss experiences and depends on which department you use. I was sent to Emergency by 111 so needed help, sadly staff regard you as a timewaster and treat you as if you are making things up despite having obvious visible physical problems. I find this disgusting treatment to be normal in the NHS. In contrast, radiography staff were lovely and reassuring during my MRI scan. The hospital is dirty because the public are disgusting, there is no need for them to throw masks and everything else on the floor when bins are everywhere."
"This is what I see every day, the glorious Bristol Royal Infirmary old building which is closed now for restoration. It was in use until 9 years ago! If you are interested to know more, here you are: The Bristol Royal Infirmary is one of the earliest hospitals founded in the country outside of London (1736) though the Old Building on the site dates from a later period (1784-1814). The architect was Thomas Paty, a distinguished Bristol architect. The Charity Universal Building was complete before 1840. Almost 300 years of glory, wow"
"I had a wonderful experience at A+E. I felt like I was clutches from death, and the hour and a half wait before being seen was like being stuck in purgatory but that's something completely out of their control. And once I reached the other side, I saw how efficiently they all worked and also how damn friendly they all were despite the stressful work environment!! I want to give a big thankyou to Doctor Ram, who's bedside manner is top tier. His friendliness made me feel so much better about myself, and he was the most informative person I spoke to all day without needing questioning. His colleague Doctor Laura was also incredibly friendly and had a great sense of humour too. She made me feel very comfortable and was very patient with me as my throat was completely seized up and getting words out was very difficult. Not once did she make me feel rushed. 2 other shoutouts go to Amy and Jesus for responding straight away to any difficulties I was having and doing so in a timely manner and with a smile on their face. It really really goes a long way to feel like you're not being a nuisance, and I felt genuinely safe in their care. I was administered around 8pm on 24/02/22. Thanks a lot to everyone :)"
